A few days ago, the China Automobile Center released the latest terminal retail data of high-end brands in July this year. In terms of the top 10 luxury brands, BMW overtook Mercedes-Benz and Audi with sales of 67499 vehicles, while Mercedes-Benz was overtaken by Audi, selling only 54924 vehicles. Red Flag ranks fourth, ahead of Lexus, Cadillac, Volvo and other brands. Tesla ranked eighth, selling only 9012.

BBA's front-line luxury brand camp has always been stable, but this month it has changed. "BBA" has become "BAB". According to the data, the BMW brand sold 67499 vehicles in July, Audi 58275 and Mercedes-Benz 54924.

In terms of specific products, among the BBA products, only the BMW X3 achieved sales growth, up 7.6% year-on-year to 15126 vehicles. Although Audi A6L leads other brands in sales, it also shows a 2.5% decline. Sales of the BMW 5-Series and BMW 3-Series were 13825 and 12186 respectively, down 16.1% and 20.9% respectively, a smaller decline compared with other models.

Audi brand has two flow models Q5L and A6L as strong support, of which Q5L is 10085 and A6L is 16808. Audi A4L fell sharply, to 3562 vehicles, a drop of 70.0%. It can be guessed that Audi will supply limited chips to two more profitable models, the Q5L and the A6L, while sales of the luxury low-equipped A4L have plummeted.

As for the Mercedes-Benz brand, it can be seen that it is more seriously affected by the chip. Sales of its star models such as Mercedes-Benz C-Class, Mercedes-Benz E-Class and Mercedes-Benz GLC have all halved, falling by 54.1%, 59.9% and 64.7% respectively. Sales of Mercedes-Benz's main products have fallen sharply, which also gives Audi a chance to overtake.

The pattern of the second-line camp changed, and Red Flag surpassed the trend.

Compared with the stable front-line luxury brand camp, the competition of the second echelon is particularly fierce, and the rankings of a number of car companies have changed. First of all, Red Flag took the crown of second-tier luxury brands, followed by Lexus, Cadillac and Volvo, while Tesla's sales fell sharply.

Red Flag sold 23604 vehicles in July, ahead of brands such as Lexus and Cadillac. According to data, Red Flag HS5 sold 11235 vehicles in July, Red Flag H5 sold 6739 vehicles and Red Flag H9 sold 2505 vehicles.

Tesla's sales fell sharply this month, including 6477 for Model 3 and 2144 for Model Y. The sharp drop in Tesla's sales is mainly due to the decline in Model Y sales, after Tesla launched the Model Y standard continued model online, with a subsidised price of 276000 yuan for the new car. Compared with the long-term service, the price of the standard continued version is 70, 000 lower, directly pulling the price of Tesla SUV to less than 300000 yuan. Volvo has worked hard, but the gap is still clear. Volvo sold 14123 vehicles in July, including 6085 for the XC60, 3329 for the S90 and 1961 for the S60, while all other models sold less than 1000.

Lincoln adventurers, navigators and pilots have many advantages over competitive products in terms of cost performance and product strength. Especially in the case of the same price, the advantages of the power system are obvious, and you can naturally get good sales. The Lincoln brand sold 7640 vehicles in July, according to the data.

Judging from the retail data of high-end brand terminals in July, BBA's dominant position is still secure. On the contrary, it is the second-tier camp, the competition pattern of Intezra has changed, the sales gap among Cadillac, Red Flag and Lexus is very small, and the competition is becoming more and more fierce. Among the tail brands, Porsche, Land Rover and Lincoln performed well, but brands such as MINI, Jaguar and Infiniti were in a slightly awkward position.
