It is understood that both Guangzhou Automobile Toyota and FAW Toyota will introduce Sienna in the future to deepen the two-car strategy.

By contrast, GAC Toyota's products are progressing faster. On June 20, Guangzhou Auto Toyota announced that it will name its new MPV model Sienna "Sena". The new car will make its official debut at the Chengdu Auto Show and is expected to be officially launched in the fourth quarter. At present, GAC Toyota Sina has completed the declaration of the new car in the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, while FAW Toyota has not even announced the official name of the new car, when the mass production listing is still a mystery.

According to the declaration chart of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Guangzhou Auto Toyota Sina basically continues the overseas design style in appearance, adopting Toyota's brand new family design and centrally matching the blue background Toyota LOGO, highlighting the identity of its hybrid model. The shape of the headlamp of the new car is narrower and longer, and the chrome strip decoration further extends the visual effect of the headlamp, together with the design of the big mouth front grille to further enhance the momentum of the whole car. In terms of size, according to the declaration information, the length, width and height of the Sena car body is 5180cm 1995 1786mm 1765 (1786mm) mm, the wheelbase is 3060mm, compared with the overseas version of Sienna has increased, but the range is small. According to previous reports, GAC Toyota Sienna will be implemented in GAC Toyota third and fourth line plant production, with an annual planned production capacity of more than 100000 units. In addition, according to the previously exposed FAW Toyota Sienna, spare parts suppliers will also carry out supporting work in the fourth quarter of 2021, and enter the stage of trial production, with planned production and sales of 5320 vehicles per month after formal mass production and listing in the first quarter of 2022. According to the current progress, there is a good chance that the model will appear at the Guangzhou Auto Show at the end of this year, ready for its official sale next year. At present, FAW Toyota has registered Wilner, Willow, Wilyao and other trademarks, which may become the name of the model. However, from the point of view of the process, FAW Toyota is slower. At present, there is still no specific information about FAW Toyota Sienna.

From the perspective of the domestic market, the market share of MPV is constantly increasing. At present, the highest-selling MPV model on the market is Buick GL8, which basically maintains monthly sales of more than 10,000 vehicles, while Honda Ericsson? Odyssey sales are low, basically in the range of about 5000. It is not difficult to see that Sena aims at the market is mainly Buick GL8-level models, and in addition to Sena, in the future, such as Beijing Modern Kusto, Dongfeng Yueda Kia Jiahua, FAW Toyota version Sienna will enter the market, the domestic MPV high-end market competition will gradually intensify in the future.
