On August 20, SAIC Volkswagen's new Tuguan family officially launched six models with a price range of 21.58 yuan to 281800 yuan, L PHEV launched two models with a price range of 25.78 yuan to 268800 yuan, and Tuguan X launched five models with a price range of 24.19 yuan to 293900 yuan. As a medium-term revamped model, the appearance and interior of the Tuguan L / Tuguan X have been replaced with the latest family design language, and the power will provide plug-in hybrid versions in addition to the current 1.4T and 2.0T engines.

From the perspective of the new car, the mid-term revamped Tuguan L has adopted a brand-new design style. compared with the old model, the new car has adjusted the forward air grille, front enclosure and headlight group. At the same time, the new style headlamps are somewhat similar to the eighth generation golf, while the penetrating style of the front enclosure cooperates with C-shaped chrome strips on both sides to create sports visual effects. In the rear part, the new Tuguan L adopts hidden exhaust layout, and the internal structure of its taillight is redesigned. The difference between the new Tuguan X and the current model is not big, the biggest highlight is still the use of large back design, showing a unique streamlined sliding back sedan roof shape, coupled with the R-Line appearance kit, the sports atmosphere is still very prominent. As for the Tuguan L PHEV model, it is not much different from the fuel version, adding a "PHEV" logo to the body details to highlight the identity of its plug-in hybrid model. In terms of size, the new Tuguan L body length, width and height are 4733/1839/1673mm, wheelbase is 2791mm, the length than the current model increased 21mm, others remain the same.

In terms of interior decoration, the mid-term design style of Tuguan L and Tuguan X is basically the same, the full liquid crystal dashboard is equipped with a three-spoke multi-function steering wheel, the central control multimedia display screen adopts suspension design, and the center console also adopts a through air conditioning outlet design, which makes the new Tuguan family series younger.

In terms of power, the medium-term modified Tuguan L fuel version will be equipped with 1.4T engine and 2.0T high and low power engine with a total of three power systems, of which 1.4T engine has a maximum power of 110kwp 2.0T high and low power engine 162kw and 137kw, respectively, and the maximum torque is 250N ·m, 350N ·m and 320N ·m, respectively. Tuguan L PHEV will adopt a plug-in hybrid system composed of 1.4T engine and motor, and the transmission system will match the 6-speed wet double clutch gearbox.

Tuguan L is a medium-sized SUV owned by SAIC-Volkswagen, and its main competitors are Buick Oncoway, Honda Crown Road, Volkswagen Tanyue and other models. Data show that from January to July, the cumulative sales of Oncoway was 68630, Guandao was 30419, and Tuguan L was 101893. In terms of sales, the market performance of the Tuguan L is better than that of other models, basically maintaining monthly sales of more than 10,000 vehicles, but due to the shortage of chips, Tuguan L sales have declined continuously, from 16600 in May to 9600 in July.

As a medium-term revamped model, Tuguan L adjusts the appearance and interior, but the power system still continues the cash model, so there is not much change in the price. However, due to the serious lack of core in Volkswagen as a whole, the discount rate for new cars in the market may be reduced. It is understood that the current sale of Rouguan L in the market has a discount range of about 40,000 yuan.
