Data show that FAW Mazda generally refers to FAW Mazda Automobile sales Co., Ltd., as a sales company, FAW Mazda is limited to technical cooperation and automobile sales, and does not have the qualification for vehicle production. FAW Mazda models are sold by FAW sedans. In fact, as early as 2003, FAW car introduced Mazda 6 car into production in Changchun FAW car factory by means of technical cooperation. In order to cooperate with the sales of Mazda 6, China FAW, FAW cars and Mazda Motor jointly funded the establishment of an automobile sales company in 2005.

As the first model to be put into production, the Mazda 6 has become a "magic car" in the minds of many consumers, and is known as the "king of corners" because of its excellent chassis adjustment and handling. However, the lack of products has always been a defect of FAW Mazda. The first model, Mazda 6, was launched in 2004 and did not launch a replacement model until 2009. In other words, during this five-year period, dealers basically rely on Mazda 6 and a few imported models to support their operations.

In May 2014, Mazda Atez was officially launched, continuing the design of imported Mazda ATENZA, using Mazda's latest "Soul Movement" design language. In June 2016, FAW Mazda CX-4 was officially launched, which is a special model developed by FAW Group based on Mazda products, not a prototype car imported by Mazda. In other words, FAW Horse has reached the current unknown only a native model of Atez, which has not introduced new products for many years in a row.

However, in response to the above news, the official refuted the rumor: the online news is artificial speculation, made up, Mazda Motor Co., Ltd. and FAW Mazda have never published the relevant content. At present, the business situation of FAW Mazda is stable, and the products, brands and service measures of 2021 are being promoted in an orderly manner.

In April this year, it was revealed that FAW Mazda, Mazda and Changan Motor are in negotiations, and the three parties plan to merge the business related to the brand of Mazda being carried out by FAW Mazda into Changan Mazda. FAW Mazda also made a negative response to the relevant reports.

In June this year, the Changan Mazda capital increase project was listed on the Beijing property Exchange, and the disclosure expires on August 11 this year, which is seen as the only way for FAW Mazda to merge into Changan Mazda. On August 17, the simple case of operator concentration in the Anti-Monopoly Bureau of the State Administration of Market Supervision and Administration showed that Changan Mazda Automobile Co., Ltd. submitted an application for Changan Mazda Automobile Co., Ltd. to acquire the equity of FAW Mazda Automobile sales Co., Ltd. after the proposed transaction is completed, FAW Mazda will become a wholly owned subsidiary of Changan Mazda. On August 24, Chongqing Changan Automobile Co., Ltd., Mazda Automobile Co., Ltd., and China first Automobile Co., Ltd. issued a joint statement on the capital increase project of Changan Mazda Automobile Co., Ltd. According to the content, (new) Changan Mazda will be changed to a joint venture jointly funded by three parties, with Changan Mazda, Mazda and FAW holding 47.5%, 47.5% and 5% respectively.

With the issue of the last push of FAW Mazda, the merger of FAW Mazda into Changan Mazda is basically certain, but it still needs to complete the examination and approval of the relevant government departments. It is understood that FAW Group has completely independent intellectual property rights to CX-4, so after the merger of North and South Mazda, CX-4 will be incorporated into FAW Pentium network sales to redesign the appearance, interior decoration and power.
