Starting from September 24, 2021, a total of 8 vehicles of the 2018 forest man series manufactured during the period from April 23, 2018 to June 21, 2018 are recalled.

The reason for the recall is that the resin density of the impeller is insufficient due to the imperfect resin forming conditions in the manufacturing process of the low-pressure fuel pump impeller. The impeller may be inflated and deformed under the influence of fuel, and interfere with the fuel pump shell, resulting in the low-pressure fuel pump can not work properly, in extreme cases, it may cause the engine to flameout while the vehicle is running, and there is a safety hidden danger.

In view of product defects, Subaru Automobile (China) Co., Ltd. will replace the improved low-pressure fuel pump for the recalled vehicles free of charge to eliminate safety risks.

With regard to the recall caused by fuel pump defects, the domestic market has occurred many times. Japanese auto parts giant Denso Co., Ltd., which produced defective fuel pumps, led to mass recalls by Toyota, Honda, Subaru, Mazda and other car companies, CCTV Finance reported, citing Japanese media.

China is an important market for many Japanese car companies, due to fuel pump defects, including Guangzhou Automobile Honda, Dongfeng Honda, FAW Toyota, Guangzhou Automobile Toyota, Changan Mazda, FAW Mazda, Guangzhou Automobile Mitsubishi and other Japanese car companies are trapped in the recall door.

On June 3 this year, FAW Toyota, Guangzhou Automobile Toyota and Toyota China filed the recall plan with the State Administration of Market Supervision and Administration, including a total of 227984 Corolla, Hanlanda and Lexus RX300 models. The recall was due to manufacturing errors in the assembly process of the internal components of the high-pressure fuel pump in the parts production plant, resulting in insufficient compression of some components. Abnormal wear may occur in the interior of the high-pressure fuel pump during use. Due to the loosening of the internal components, fatigue cracks may occur at the welded joints of the high-pressure fuel pump, and there may be the possibility of fuel leakage, which will increase the risk of fire in extreme cases. There is a safety risk.

Compared with Toyota, Honda and Mazda, Subaru, as an imported Japanese brand, has a smaller domestic market share, so although it is also recalled because of fuel pump defects, the number of products affected is not large.
