On September 26th, Changan Mazda CX-30 EV officially launched, the new car is based on the fuel version of Changan Mazda CX-30 model, a total of three models will be launched, with a price range of 15.98-201800 yuan.

The Changan Mazda CX-30 EV, which made its debut at the Shanghai Auto Show, is Changan Mazda's first all-electric model. In terms of appearance, CX-30 EV basically continues the design of the fuel version, the willow-shaped headlights with chrome-plated decorative strips, the new intake grille uses a closed design, but the new front lip, side skirt and other encirclement is different from the fuel version. From the side, the CX-30 EV is significantly higher than the fuel version, and the black plastic eyebrows are decorated with silver, which seems a little less agreed. In the rear part, the new car still maintains the overall design of the current CX-30, and the "e-SKYACTIV" nameplate at the rear shows the identity of new energy. In terms of size, the new car is 4410/1852/1655mm in length, width and height, 2672mm in wheelbase, and positioned as a pure electric small SUV.

The interior decoration also continues the design style of the fuel version, with little overall change. CX-30 EV still uses pointer dashboard and suspended central control multimedia display, and it is still a three-frame steering wheel, but unlike the fuel version of CX-30, the CX-30 EV lever adopts a new design.

In terms of power, the CX-30 EV is equipped with a maximum power 218Ps motor with a peak torque of 300N ·m. As for the battery, it is equipped with 523 ternary lithium battery from Ningde era. The battery pack is made by Changan New Energy and has a range of 450km.

On May 28, 2020, CX-30, a brand new model of Changan Mazda, was officially launched, with a total of 8 models, with a price range of 12.99-171900 yuan. In terms of power, the CX-30 is equipped with 2.0L naturally aspirated engine, maximum power 158Ps, peak torque 202N ·m, and the transmission system matches 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic transmission.

However, as the latest domestic model of Changan Mazda, its sales in the market have not been optimistic since its launch, with cumulative CX-30 sales of 6865 in the first eight months of this year and a peak of about 2500. As for why CX-30 is not liked by consumers, the price of SUV,CX-30 as a small joint venture is not low, but there is no obvious sincerity in power, interior decoration and configuration, coupled with other Mazda models being exposed in the same period, there are still some effects on CX- 30 more or less.

As a gas-to-electric model, the future performance of CX-30 EV is not optimistic. For the underlying models, including Toyota C-HR EV, Honda VE-1/X-NV, Peugeot eMel 2008 and other models, CX-30 EV is not very hot in the small SUV market, while CX-30 sales are relatively low, which aggravates the development space of EV models.
