AutoBeta(AutoBeta.net)10/01 Report--
Recently, the owner of the car, Mr. Han, told the media that he had ordered a BYD DM super hybrid new energy car at BYD's 4S store and waited for four months. Instead of a new car, he was told that he would not be able to pick up the car until next year.
According to the car owner, Mr. Han, the salesperson at that time verbally said that the delivery would take three months, but refused to write the delivery agreement into the agreement. Subsequently, the car owner paid a deposit of 10,000 yuan. After waiting for four months, the salesperson contacted Mr. Han by phone and said that the car would not be available until next year, and the manufacturer had stopped the production of this model and needed to wait until December to continue production. In addition, the salesperson also gave two options: one is to refund the money, and the other is to add money for a higher configuration, which may reverse the car a little faster. It said that there are fewer buyers and manufacturers of this low configuration, so it takes a long time to wait for the car.
Subsequently, Mr. Han called the BYD 400 hotline, and the customer service staff of the manufacturer said: the number of low-equipped models is indeed relatively small, because manufacturers will submit production scheduling plans according to market demand and merchants submitting orders. There is no priority scheduling, the volume of scheduling will be relatively small. At present, with regard to the problems reflected by Mr. Han, the 4S store verbally said that it would give some compensation, but refused to give a written promise. We will also continue to pay attention to the follow-up situation.
Many car owners also experienced the same problem reflected by Mr. Han, who commented on online car hailing on BYD's Weibo account. It is understood that Qin PLUS DM-i is the latest hybrid model released by BYD, which started pre-sale in January this year and officially went on sale on March 8. The new car is divided into noble configuration and flagship configuration, there are 55km pure electric battery version and 120km pure electric battery version can be divided. The price range of new cars after subsidy is 10.58-145800 yuan. It is worth noting that the BYD DMI model was hot pursued by consumers as soon as it was launched, but the delivery of the vehicle was relatively slow, which also caused a lot of consumer dissatisfaction. Wang Chuanfu, chairman and president of BYD, apologized to consumers when talking about the slow delivery of DM-i models at the launch of BYD's e3.0 platform on Sept. 8. Production capacity is currently climbing and delivery will be accelerated, it said.
Earlier in May, a marketing strategy plan called "DMI Kunlun Strategy" was exposed, which gave priority to ensuring the supply of cars in Chongqing, Tianjin, Hunan, Jiangsu, Guangxi and other provinces and cities when the production capacity of DMI models was insufficient. BYD issued official delivery instructions for the delivery of DM-i models: BYD apologized that it still needed an average of 3.5 months to deliver new orders because of the large number of orders and the relatively slow delivery of vehicles. In addition, it also said that DM-i models are always supplied to the national market, and the recent online "regional campaign market" initiative is only a marketing attempt in some markets. At the same time, BYD said that in the next stage, it will further expand production capacity while ensuring quality, and simultaneously build an optimized customer order delivery query system to achieve real-time information tracking of the whole process from customer ordering to car pick-up.
However, due to the recent chip shortage, according to the latest official disclosure by BYD, the cumulative order volume this year may reach 900000 vehicles, but the company's delivery capacity this year can only reach 70-750000 vehicles, and the delivery capacity depends on materials and IC. Currently, BYD has outstanding orders for 160000 vehicles, and the delivery cycle for cars has been more than 4.5 months. BYD said that orders that could not be completed this year would be postponed to next year. Figures show that BYD sold 68000 new cars and more than 60, 000 new energy models in August, an increase of more than 300% over the same period last year.
