It is understood that at present, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, BMW and other popular brands need to wait for the purchase of best-selling models, especially Audi brand, the discount rate has greatly shrunk, car pick-up also need to wait for a long time. A salesperson at an Audi 4S store in Yizhuang, Beijing, said that A4L had a discount of 50,000 yuan and now 30,000 yuan, while A6L had a discount of 70,000 yuan, but now it is only 20,000 yuan. " The salesperson said that affected by the shortage of chips, the supply of domestic and imported cars is very tight, and now there are many good times to buy cars. If you are not in a hurry, you can wait until the production capacity slows down in December.

The sales manager of a SAIC-Volkswagen 4S store in Beijing said that in the absence of core, manufacturers give priority to putting large cars into production. Lang Yi, polo and Santana have basically stopped production. The discount for Lang Yi 1.5T version has been reduced by about 5000 yuan, and the discount for Tuguan L has dropped from about 30, 000 yuan to 15000 yuan.

In addition to traditional car brands, new car-building forces are also affected by the shortage of chips, and it is difficult to lift cars in the terminal market. The ideal car is no exception. The company will continue to monitor ongoing market conditions and work closely with its supply chain partners to minimize the impact of chip shortages on production. According to the latest delivery data, the ideal car delivered only 7-94 units in September, lower than that of Lai and Xiaopeng.

The same is true of BYD cars, where DM-i models have to wait at least three months because of capacity constraints, and there is also no discount. BYD staff said that some of BYD's fuel models have been discontinued, and now chips give priority to new energy vehicles, which are more expensive and more profitable.

Affected by the shortage of automotive chips and other factors, China's automobile market production and sales have declined for four months in a row. According to the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, China's automobile production and sales reached 1.725 million and 1.799 million respectively in August, down 18.7% and 17.8% respectively from a year earlier.
