However, the new energy vehicle market is extremely hot. Among a number of car brands, such as Wei Xiaoli, which announced sales a few days ago, NIO and Xiaopeng sold more than 10,000 vehicles for the first time, and yesterday BYD also released the latest car sales data. its car sales in September were 79037, of which new energy passenger car sales were 70022, up 276.4% from the same period last year, and fuel vehicle sales were 9015, down 59.6% from the same period last year.

Judging from BYD's sales figures, the proportion of its new energy vehicles is steadily increasing, while fuel vehicles are gradually declining. As we all know, new energy vehicles are the main track of cars in the future. in addition to BYD, car companies such as Volkswagen, Honda and General Motors are speeding up the promotion of new energy vehicles. As the guide of new energy vehicles, the gradual reduction of fuel vehicle market share is an inevitable trend. In addition, from a product point of view, BYD new energy vehicles are more popular than fuel vehicles. Due to capacity constraints, existing chips give priority to new energy vehicles, and it is inevitable that some fuel vehicles stop production.

In the long run, there is a good chance that BYD will not launch new fuel cars in the future. Generally speaking, it will take at least three years for a brand new model to hit the market, and the development direction of the current car market is so clear that few car companies will choose to develop new fuel vehicles at this time. At present, a number of car companies have announced the timetable for suspending the sale of fuel vehicles, that is, some car companies have not yet announced, but under the trend of globalization, the transformation of fuel vehicles into pure electric vehicles is irreversible, and hybrid cars are the transitional products between the two.

According to BYD's sales data, in September, 71115 new energy vehicles were produced and 71099 were sold, with production only 16 more than sales, with almost zero inventory, producing and selling one at a time. In other words, BYD's new energy products are in a state of high demand, and if the production capacity of new energy vehicles can continue to grow, it should not be a big problem for BYD to continue to reach new highs.

It is understood that in September, BYD sold 33716 DM models and 36306 EV models. Qin PLUS DM-i is the main model of BYD's DM model, with sales of 13000 in August, up 16.3% from a year earlier in September and is expected to be about 16000. According to the plan, BYD aims to sell 400000 new energy vehicles in 2021, of which EV and DM hybrid account for half. Judging from the data, as of the end of September, BYD's total sales of new energy vehicles was 330798, and it is not difficult to meet the sales target.

At present, fuel vehicles are still dominant in the market, with new energy vehicles accounting for only about 15% of the total market share. However, the transition from fuel vehicles to pure electric vehicles will not change, while hybrid models are the transitional products from fuel vehicles to pure electric vehicles, which take into account both fuel vehicles and new energy vehicles. In the future, the fuel vehicle market will gradually decline, while the new energy market will grow steadily and eventually replace fuel vehicles, but this goal will take a decade or even decades to achieve.
