On Sept. 24, Guangzhou Auto Toyota officially named its new compact SUV "Feng Landa" and became a member of the "Landa" family. According to some of the body details released earlier, Feng Landa followed the design of the Japanese version of the Corolla Cross.

From the exposed declaration chart, the appearance of GAC Toyota Fenglanda follows the design of the Japanese version of the Corolla Cross, but the design of the front face is different. Compared with the Japanese version of Carola CROSS, the large-size medium net of Fenglanda is located in the lower part of the front face, and most of the grille between the headlights is closed, leaving only a small area of intake grille. The rear of the new car also follows the design of the Japanese Corolla CROSS, and the interior of the taillight group is redesigned. In addition, the shape of the rear bumper echoes with the front face and looks more athletic. In terms of body size, according to the declaration information, the length, width and height of Fenglanda are 4485/1825/1620mm, wheelbase 2640mm, positioning as compact SUV.

In terms of power, Fenglanda currently only declares the fuel version of the model, which is equipped with a 2.0L naturally aspirated engine of M20A/M20C, with a maximum power of 126kw.

In addition to Guangzhou Auto Toyota Fengfeng Landa, FAW Toyota version of "Carola CROSS" also completed the declaration in the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. As a new two-car strategic model launched by Toyota in China, the new car and GAC Toyota Feng Landa are sister cars from the same platform. The Chinese naming of the new car is not known, but it is expected to continue the naming style of "X release".

The new car is also a domestic model of the "Carola CROSS", but its overall shape is highly similar to that of the American version. From the outside, the front face also uses a large intake grille, the interior is decorated with black mesh elements, the slender headlights are connected to the middle net, and the bumper below makes the whole look more dynamic. In terms of size, the length, width and height of the new car are 4460/1825/1620mm, and the wheelbase is 2640mm, which is consistent with Guangzhou Automobile Toyota Fenglanda.

Power is also consistent with Fenglanda, equipped with a 2.0L naturally aspirated engine M20E, with a maximum power of 126kw. In other words, GAC Toyota Feng Landa is its sister model, and the biggest difference between the two models lies in the front face.

As we all know, Toyota continues to deepen the two-car strategy in China. During the year, Toyota has launched Ling Shang / Asian Lion and Hanlanda / Crown-Lu Fang, and the domestic Sienna and Harrier will also be mass-produced by FAW Toyota and Guangzhou Automobile Toyota, whose Guangzhou Automobile Toyota Sienna is named Sena and FAW Toyota Harrier is named Ling Fang. At present, the domestic production of the Corolla CROSS is already advancing, but GAC Toyota is moving faster. The new car is expected to make its debut at the Guangzhou Auto Show and is expected to be launched by the end of the year.
