According to the list released by the Federation of passengers, from a single brand point of view, BYD's sales of new energy vehicles are far higher than those of other car brands, with a total of 69818 vehicles sold in China in September, followed by Tesla, which sold 52153 vehicles in the country. in third place is SAIC GM Wuling, with 37151 vehicles. In addition, more than 10,000 car companies include GAC Eian, Great Wall Motor, NIO, Xiaopeng and so on.
From a single model point of view, Hongguang MINI returned to the top of the list in September, selling a total of 35169 vehicles, and the cumulative sales of 256661 vehicles in the first three quarters were also beyond the reach of many new energy vehicle companies. In this context, many car companies plan to launch mini electric vehicles, such as Chery QQ ice cream, Dongfeng scenery MINIEV, Lingbao COCO and other models have been declared in the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, these models have adopted a more cute design approach, no doubt aimed at Hongguang MINIEV. In addition to Hongguang MINI, Mercedes-Benz EV, Chery eQ, Collaway CLEVER and Reading Mango all sold more than 5000 models, 7968, 7813, 6602 and 6056 respectively, of which Reading Mango can be said to be an unfamiliar model. The car comes from the new power brand Reading Automobile, which officially went on sale in May this year, with an official guiding price of 29800 yuan to 54900 yuan.
In addition to Hongguang MINI, there are actually many products that have performed well this month. As a popular brand in China's electric car market, Tesla's sales hit an all-time high in September. According to data from the Federation of passengers, Tesla's wholesale sales in China in September 2021 were 56006 (including exports of 3853), which means Tesla's retail sales in China reached 53153 in September, including 33033 for Model Y and 19120 for Model 3, second only to Hongguang MINI. As for why Tesla performed so strongly in September? As we all know, Tesla has a strong vehicle factory all over the world, among which the Shanghai factory undertakes the task of Tesla's export. the main reason for the sharp decline in domestic sales in July and August is that Tesla supplies overseas markets. And the third month will mainly supply the domestic market. It is understood that at present, Tesla's factory in Berlin, Germany is scheduled to start production by the end of the year. Once the new factory is put into production, Tesla's export volume fluctuation in China will be greatly reduced.
As the leader of domestic new energy vehicles, BYD also set a new high in September, with a number of products entering the top 15 list, with Qin PLUS DM-i and Song DM selling more than 10,000 vehicles, 15164 and 10278 respectively. In addition, Qin PLUS EV, Han EV and Tang DM were 8396, 7772 and 5519 respectively. At present, due to capacity constraints, the delivery of BYD's new energy models has been delayed, while BYD's new energy products are in high demand. If the production capacity of new energy vehicles can continue to grow, BYD should not be a big problem.
In terms of car brands, only Xiaopeng P7 and ideal ONE are on the list, with sales of 7512 and 7094 respectively. It was previously reported that both Xilai and Xiaopeng delivered more than 10,000 vehicles in September, including 10628 and 10412, but according to the list, no models were on the list, including 5260 for the ES6. On the other hand, although the delivery volume of the ideal car fell to 7094 in September, the performance of the ideal car is also very eye-catching, given that it has only one model.
Throughout the current pattern of China's new energy market, with the exception of Tesla, the main voice is controlled by independent brands and car-building brands. Take BYD as an example, since the launch of "blade battery" + "DMi hybrid technology", BYD is back on track, and its sales have broken new highs in recent months.
