Of course, you may have noticed that terminal distributors will refer to INSPIRE as "English Poetry School", but in fact the naming has not been officially announced. As for why the terminal market is called "English Poetry School", we have learned from the State Trademark Office that Dongfeng Honda registered the names "English Poetry School" and "English School" as early as October and November 2017, but did not use them until June 2020, when Dongfeng Honda applied for the "English Poetry School" trademark again, and perhaps the Chinese name of INSPIRE has been determined.

As a medium-term revamped model, the new car is mainly aimed at upgrading the appearance and interior, and continues to provide fuel version and hybrid version for choice. From the point of view of the appearance, the main change of the new car is the front face, the new car adopts a new front bumper design, the new single banner design is added inside the forward air grille, and the current black honeycomb grid design is cancelled. In addition, the front enclosure area of the newly designed model is slightly smaller than that of the old model, while the headlight groups on both sides are consistent with the cash. As for the side and tail shape of the car body, it is basically the same as the current model. In terms of size, the length, width and height of the new car are 4924/1862/1449mm and wheelbase 2830mm respectively.

The interior decoration has changed relatively greatly, the most obvious being the replacement of a larger central control LCD screen and the elimination of the mechanical knob control mechanism on both sides of the original screen, so that it has a higher screen share. In terms of power, the new car will continue to provide both fuel version and hybrid version for consumers to choose from. Among them, the fuel version carries a 1.5T engine with a maximum power of 142kw, which is expected to match the CVT gearbox. The hybrid version is equipped with 2.0L i-MMD hybrid system, the system integrated power 158kw, matched with the E-CVT gearbox.

The INSPIRE on sale is a Chinese special model born by Honda under the two-car strategy in the domestic market, and GAC Honda Accord is a sister model. It was officially launched in October 2018. The price range of the model currently on sale is 18.28-249800 yuan. It is expected that the price of the redesigned Esquire will not be greatly adjusted in the medium term.

As a medium-sized car owned by Dongfeng Honda, its most direct competitors are sister models Accord, Nissan Teana, Toyota Camry, Volkswagen Passat and so on. However, although the Yingshi School is the sister model of the Accord, its performance in the market is not good. According to relevant data, in the first half of this year, Accord was 84030, while Yingshi was only 23514, while Teana, Camry and Passat of the same class were 97192, 73618 and 56183 respectively.
