As we all know, on July 30 this year, Dongfeng Nissan launched a new generation of Qijun, with a total of eight models with VC-Turbo super-variable engine 300 2WD and VC-Turbo super-variable engine 300 4WD, with a price range of 181900 yuan to 262900 yuan. As a new generation model, Qijun's biggest change is in the power system, the new car is equipped with a 1.5T variable three-cylinder turbocharged engine, maximum power 150kW, maximum torque 300N ·m, matched with a new generation of CVT gearbox. For comparison, the current Qijun is equipped with 2.0L and 2.5L naturally aspirated engines, with maximum power of 111kw and 133kw, and peak torque of 194Nm and 239Nm. Judging from the data, the power parameters of the new Qijun are indeed better than those of the old models.

In addition, Dongfeng Nissan (including Nissan / Qichen) sales in September 2021 were 84754 units, down 28.9 percent from a year earlier, according to Nissan China data. In terms of specific models, Teana and Xuanyi sold 15970, 39250 and 13588 cars respectively, while Qijun, one of the four best-selling models, did not talk about its sales. In this context, it is rumored that Dongfeng Nissan will resume production of the third generation Qijun, and renamed it to "Qijun Classic". After resuming production, it will be sold in the same room with cash Qijun. In fact, selling two-generation models in the same house is not a new model, as is the case with the Xuanyi series owned by Dongfeng Nissan.

On July 16, 2019, the new generation of Dongfeng Nissan Xuanyi officially went on sale, with an official price range of 10.90-143000 yuan. Although the new generation of Xuanyi is officially listed in China, the old Xuanyi did not quit, but adopted the way of selling new and old models in the same house, and renamed the previous generation Xuanyi classic. Since then, Xuanyi has basically won the top spot on the car list.

The way of selling new and old people together in Qijun can indeed be seen as a way to save themselves. The biggest advantage of the new generation of Qijun lies in the appearance, interior and space updates, while the latest 1.5L engine, although the power parameters have more advantages than the old model, but as a three-cylinder engine, it is not popular in the market. Although the older generation of Qijun lags behind in appearance and interior decoration, its monthly sales can still be maintained at more than 10,000 vehicles, indicating that it is still relatively acceptable.

In addition, there are media reports that Zhengzhou Nissan will be responsible for the production of the previous generation of Qijun, and sales channels will include joint sales of Zhengzhou Nissan and Dongfeng Nissan dealers. It is understood that at present, Zhengzhou Nissan only has two models, Tuda and Navarra, which are less in the private car market, mainly engineering vehicles. However, Dongfeng Nissan has not responded to the relevant reports.
