On Nov. 3, BYD released the latest sales figures, showing that car sales in October were 88898, up 90.9% from a year earlier and 12.5% from a month earlier.

Specifically, in terms of new energy vehicles, BYD sold 80003 new energy vehicles in October 2021, up 262.9 percent from the same period last year. Among them, 38771 DM-i models are sold and 41232 pure electric models are sold by EV. Overall, BYD's sales of new energy vehicles have soared, while the proportion of fuel vehicles in BYD's cars has been declining. In terms of specific models, BYD Han sold 11087 vehicles in October, an increase of 63.9% over the same period last year, and cumulative sales have exceeded 130000. The Tang family sold 6862 vehicles in October, up 81.7 per cent from a year earlier. The Song family sold 23313 vehicles in October, up 1897.6 per cent from a year earlier. The Yuan family sold 6507 vehicles in October, an increase of 485.2% over the same period last year. 5162 vehicles were sold in October, and e2 increased by 59.7% compared with the same period last year. The BYD Qin family sold 27725 vehicles in October, and from its sales figures, it is not difficult to see that the BYD Qin family is the backbone of BYD's auto sales. BYD Dolphin, the first brand-new model in the marine system, sold 6018 units in October, up 100.6 per cent from the previous month.

According to earlier official plans, BYD aims to sell 400000 new energy vehicles in 2021, of which EV and DM hybrid account for half. According to the latest sales released by BYD, its cumulative sales of new energy vehicles this year has reached 418600, an increase of 212.03% over the same period last year. It is worth noting that BYD Dolphin was officially launched at the Chengdu Auto Show on Aug. 29 as a pure electric city trot of 100000 yuan. the new car launched a total of four models with a price range of 9.38 yuan to 121800 yuan. In terms of power, BYD dolphin is equipped with a drive motor codenamed TZ180XSF, with a maximum power of 70kW and a peak torque of 180N ·m. In terms of battery type, the new car is equipped with lithium iron phosphate blade battery, which provides 301km and 405km mileage options. As BYD's entry-level pure electric car, it will mark the Great Wall Euler brand.

In addition to a number of new cars to be launched, BYD's high-end brands are also planned. Earlier, Li Yunfei, general manager of BYD's public relations department, said in an interview with the media that BYD will launch a new high-end brand in the fourth quarter of this year. The car will be priced between 500000 yuan and 800000 yuan under a new BYD brand. Li Yunfei's evaluation of the car is: this car is enough for people to see at first glance, the eyes do not want to leave. Some securities companies pointed out that BYD's capacity expansion, new products on the market, sales are expected to continue to rise.
