Toyota unveiled its new pure electric concept car bz4x at the 4th China International Import Expo (hereinafter referred to as "Expo") held recently. In fact, the bz4x was unveiled at the Shanghai Auto Show in April. The new car is based on Toyota's e-TNGA and is positioned as a medium-sized all-electric SUV. It will be very competitive in the market." "from the appearance of the concept car, the new car uses a relatively front-end design technique, the closed medium net with a very radical through-type C headlamp group, the overall shape is very scientific and technological. From the side, the lines of the new car are also very strong, and the lines of the two-color roof, rear spoiler, rear window and rear door are very close to that of the RAV4.

In terms of interior decoration, the bz4x concept car is also unique, using a special-shaped steering wheel, it is not known whether the mass production version will continue this design. In addition, the dashboard adopts a surrounded design, with a large central control screen and some physical buttons at the bottom, and the two styles of machinery and technology are well integrated.

According to specific data released by Toyota China, bz4x will adopt the X-MODE function (AWD) jointly developed with Subaru and the newly developed "Grip-Control intelligent multi-road adaptation system". In terms of battery life, the front-wheel drive version has nearly 500km mileage in WLTC conditions, and supports 150kW power in DC fast charging mode, which can be filled to 80% in 30 minutes. It is understood that the future domestic listing of bz4x will carry the battery pack jointly developed with CATL Ningde era, and will be produced in Toyota's exclusive production line.

Under the influence that new energy vehicles have become the tuyere of future development, and under the influence of independent car brands and automobile brands such as Tesla, Ulai and Xiaopeng, which occupy most of the new energy market share, more and more international car companies begin to enter the new energy industry on a large scale and announce the time to stop selling fuel vehicles one after another. Take Volkswagen Group as an example, it has launched a number of new pure electric vehicles in 2021, including ID.3, ID.4, ID.6 and so on. These models are all newly designed pure electric products, which have achieved relatively good sales results in domestic multinational car enterprises. Toyota, on the other hand, although it has been exploring in the field of new energy vehicles for many years, it has never launched a real model. Take the domestic as an example, the new energy products currently on sale include Weilanda high-performance version, RAV4 Rongfang double-engine +, Carola double-engine +, Lei Ling double-engine +, Yize E into the engine, C-HR EV and so on, which are basically based on the fuel version derived from the hybrid car or pure tram, the monthly sales are not objective.

In addition, Toyota President Akio Toyoda has repeatedly warned that the Japanese government's goal of reducing Japan's greenhouse gas emissions by 2030 and achieving carbon neutralization by promoting pure electric vehicles by 2050 is unrealistic and will deal a devastating blow to the Japanese economy.
