According to earlier reports, the Tank 500 will be equipped with a 3.0T engine + 9AT gearbox with a maximum power of 354hp and a peak torque of 500N ·m, making it the first model of Great Wall to use 3.0T+9AT. Based on the tank platform, the new car uses a non-load-bearing body and is equipped with a TOD time-sharing all-wheel drive system, which ensures the driving safety of the whole vehicle and stronger off-road performance.

From the point of view of the competition, the competitors of the tank 500 will be Toyota Prado and Rand Cool Luze. An earlier picture of the price information of the tank 500 circulated on the Internet, which shows that the tank 500 will launch both 2.0T+8AT and 3.0T+9AT power. The suspected price of the 2.0T+8AT version is 27.8-328000 yuan, while that of the 3.0T+9AT version is 33.80-388000 yuan. In addition, the Tank 500 also offers a special version of the model with 3.0T+9AT powertrain, which is suspected to be priced at 458000 yuan. However, to this news, the tank brand then responded: "some online platforms spread false information about the price, configuration and fuel consumption of the tank 500, and the tank brand has never published the above information in any form on any platform." At present, from the point of view of competitive prices, the price range of tank 500s should be between 30 and 400000 yuan.

It is worth noting that the reason why the tank 300 can be sold in the 200000 yuan price range depends not only on the shape of the vehicle, but more importantly, the higher performance-to-price ratio makes it easier for consumers to accept.
