According to foreign media reports, Mercedes-Benz recently issued a recall notice overseas, will recall a total of 19000 Mercedes-Benz EQC models made between December 11, 2019 and May 18, 2020.

According to the official recall, on some EQC vehicles, the harness of the steering system may have been damaged during assembly, resulting in water in the environment entering the harness through the isolation layer, and aging or even failure of the harness over time. When this happens, the driver will receive a red warning message in the instrument.

At present, it is not known whether this recall message is related to domestic EQC. It is worth mentioning that in August this year, Beijing Mercedes-Benz filed a recall plan with the State Administration of Market Supervision and Administration, and some EQC could not identify and check the status of air-conditioning condensate hoses after assembly and could not ensure the tightness of their connections, resulting in the possibility of air-conditioning condensate entering the crew cabin and corroding electronic components. At present, it is not possible to determine whether there is a connection between the two recalls.

It is understood that the EQC is the first pure electric model of Mercedes-Benz, officially listed in China on November 8, 2019, positioning medium-sized pure electric SUV, the current price is 49.98-579800 yuan, also based on the fuel version of GLC (39.78-587800 yuan). In terms of power, Mercedes-Benz EQC is equipped with a pure electric power system composed of two induction induction units and ternary lithium batteries with a capacity of 79.2kWh, with a maximum power of 300kW (408hp) and a peak torque of 760Nm. It is officially announced that its acceleration time of 0-100km/h is 5.1 seconds, and the comprehensive mileage of NEDC is 415km.

As Mercedes-Benz's first pure tram, Mercedes-Benz EQC's performance in the domestic market is not optimistic. The data show that EQC has sold 2723 vehicles in the past six months, including 318 in July, 212 in August and 299 in September. As for the reason for the downturn in sales, it is mainly the price impact. First of all, there is no demand for high-priced electric car consumers. The main market is still in the range of 20-300000 yuan. Secondly, consumers in the 500000-yuan market are more willing to buy fuel vehicles.
