AutoBeta(AutoBeta.net)11/10 Report--
According to the retail sales data released by the Federation of passengers, sales in the domestic narrow passenger car market in October were 1.714 million, down 14.0% from a year earlier and up 8.4% from a month earlier. The Federation said that the supply of chips rebounded in October, but there was still a large gap and production bottlenecks remained. The inventory level of major brands is at an all-time low, and the discount range in the market is also being recycled, affecting terminal sales, and retail sales as a whole are not strong in October.
From the published retail data of car companies, more than 80% of car companies have declined, and only three have achieved growth. Judging from the list, FAW-Volkswagen, SAIC-Volkswagen, Geely Automobile and SAIC-GM all sold more than 100000 vehicles, but the year-on-year declines were all by double digits. FAW-Volkswagen and SAIC-Volkswagen sold 124884 and 120201 vehicles respectively in October, and although FAW-Volkswagen regained the top selling title again, its year-on-year decline of 40.8% was also the highest on the list. Geely Motor and SAIC GM barely squeezed into 100000 vehicles, selling 101495 and 100030 respectively, but down 21.6% and 32.4% year-on-year. However, although the four car companies have a large year-on-year decline, there is a significant increase compared with September, which also reflects the gradual easing of chip supply tension.
Judging from the list, three car companies have achieved year-on-year growth and are all independent brands, namely, BYD Motor, SAIC GM Wuling and SAIC passenger cars, especially BYD Automobile, whose sales rose 89.1% year-on-year to 82033 vehicles in October, making it the highlight of the list, including the strong performance of BYD Qin PLUS DM-i, Song DM and Han EV, which made it into the top 10 of passenger car companies for three months in a row. For other automakers, SAIC GM Wuling sold a total of 90839 vehicles in October, of which Hongguang MINIEV sold 47834, surpassing Nissan Xuanyi for the first time to win the top spot in car sales. In addition, Great Wall sold 82033 cars in October, Chery sold 54138 and Shanghai passenger cars sold 50833.
Let's take a look at Japanese car companies. The market performance of Japanese brands in October is also not optimistic, showing a year-on-year decline, but a significant increase compared with September. Although Dongfeng Nissan underperformed Changan, it still sold 95314 vehicles in October, with Teana performing better, up 66.8% year-on-year to 17598. Guangzhou Auto Honda and Dongfeng Honda both reached the grade of 70,000 vehicles, while Guangzhou Automobile Toyota and FAW Toyota both reached the class of 60,000 vehicles.
October, as the peak season for traditional car sales, performed better than September, mainly because the shortage of chips eased and the production of major car companies improved. However, compared with traditional fuel vehicles, the market performance of new energy vehicles is relatively good. Under the influence of the state's strong support for the development of new energy vehicles and urban license restrictions, consumers begin to pay attention to new energy vehicle products. Of course, in the context of the substantial growth of new energy vehicles, the shortage of power supply has become the focus of social news, and the imperfection of new energy vehicle service facilities is also the key point that restricts consumers to choose new energy vehicles.
