According to the previous application information, the new Odyssey will be equipped with a hybrid system composed of 2.0L engine, the engine reported power is 107kw, and the transmission system matches the E-CVT gearbox.

Data show that Honda Odyssey officially entered the domestic market in 2002. After more than a decade of word-of-mouth accumulation, Honda Odyssey has now become one of the best-selling MPV models in the domestic automobile market. Currently on sale is the Odyssey fifth-generation model, launched in 2013 so far, the unveiled model belongs to the fifth-generation mid-term modified model.

As a sister model, Honda Ericsson officially launched its domestic production in 2012 and launched a new generation of models in 2016. However, the Ericsson is a Chinese special model, which is only launched in the Chinese market, and belongs to the same platform model as the fifth generation Odyssey in the same period.

In the domestic MPV market, Odyssey and Ericsson are both sister models and competitors. Figures show that in the first 10 months of 2021, Ericsson sold 43166 vehicles, while the Odyssey sold 40540, lower than Buick GL8, Chuanqi M8, Wuling Capgemini and other models. At present, with the increasing competition in the domestic MPV market, independent brands and joint venture brands begin to accelerate the layout of this market, including Hyundai Kusto, Kia Jiahua, Toyota Sena and other models have been listed.
