AutoBeta(AutoBeta.net)11/23 Report--

According to media reports, a BYD Qin Pro EV with a Beijing license plate caught fire in an underground garage in Beijing. According to a message posted by the owner of a suspected accident on moments, "I suddenly heard a sound in the car and felt wrong, so I immediately took the baby out of the car and ran away. I was very lucky and everyone was all right. I was really scared when I saw the car burning like this after taking a statement."

Judging from the photos at the scene, there is indeed a lot of white smoke near the vehicle, and the bottom of the fire is visible to the naked eye. Another photo shows that the extinguished Biadiqin Pro EV is so badly damaged that it has been burned beyond recognition and is no longer worthy of maintenance.

In response to the matter, BYD responded: "the fire at the scene was put out in time, there was no explosion, and there were no casualties." The vehicles will be sold in early 2019, and the specific reasons will cooperate with the relevant departments for further investigation. "

This is not the first time BYD Qin Pro New Energy has caught fire. In October last year, a BYD Qin Pro new energy caught fire at the Telai electric charging station in Changning Road, Yantai, Shandong Province. the electric car was surrounded by a raging fire and billowed with smoke. the accident caused a large area of the vehicle involved to overfire and damage, basically in a state of scrap. According to the screenshot of the online chat, after the new energy vehicle finished charging in the charging station, the owner pulled the charging gun out of the charging port. About five minutes later, when the owner was ready to start the vehicle and left the charging station, he found that the chassis of the vehicle was noisy and smoky and burning, and immediately called 119 fire alarm for help. In May of the same year, a Qin Pro EV caught fire at a charging station in Shenzhen. From the relevant video, at first, there was a relatively violent open fire on the left side and bottom of the vehicle, which quickly flooded the entire car body, and finally the fire was put out under the rescue of the fire brigade, but the car was also burned into an empty frame.

Data show that BYD Qin Pro New Energy includes DM models and EV models, and the subsidized price range is 13.69-199900 yuan, including 13.69-194900 yuan for DM models and 14.49-199900 yuan for EV models. It should be noted that BYD Qin Pro New Energy is not equipped with a blade battery, but a ternary lithium battery. Of course, whether the accident was caused by the battery still needs to be answered after investigation by the relevant departments.

In recent months, BYD's sales of new energy vehicles have shown a steady growth trend. In October, for example, BYD sold 88898 passenger cars, including 80003 new energy passenger cars, 38771 DM-i models and 41232 EV models. New energy passenger vehicles account for 90% of BYD's total passenger car sales, while the proportion of fuel vehicles is declining.

It is true that new energy vehicles will become the trend of automobile development in the future, but in the process of this development, there are many problems in new energy vehicles, such as battery decay, battery failure, frequent strikes of intelligent systems and so on. These all need to be improved for a long time.
