As a medium-term revamped model, the new car carries the EA211 1.5T EVO engine for the first time on the basis of the current 1.2T and 1.4T four-cylinder engines. Specifically, the maximum power of 1.2T and 1.4T is 116 horsepower and 150 horsepower respectively, and the peak torque of 1.2T is 175N m and 200N m, respectively, which is matched by a five-speed manual transmission or a seven-speed dry double-clutch gearbox with a peak torque of 250N / m at 1.4T, and a seven-speed dry double-clutch gearbox. In addition to the above two engines, the new Suiteng is equipped with an EA211 1.5T EVO engine for the first time, which has a rated power of 160hp and a peak torque of 250N ·m, which is still matched by a seven-speed dry double-clutch transmission.

According to previous reports, FAW-Volkswagen's first EA211 EVO 1.5T engine officially came off the line in May this year and will replace the 1.4T engine used in current domestic models. Models with 1.4T engine currently include Golf, Maiteng, Suiteng, T-ROC Sengo, Sawyer, Bora, Jetta VS5, Jetta VS7 and so on. The new engine may be applied to the above models in 2022. From the data point of view, although the power output of EA211 1.5T EVO engine has little room to improve compared with 1.4T, it still improves the competitiveness of products. In the future, including golf, Suiteng, Maiteng and other models equipped with new engines, they may have better market performance. However, this engine may be Volkswagen's last engine in the fuel vehicle field, and Volkswagen is accelerating the electrification process, and the focus of development has gradually shifted to pure electric models.

Data show that Suiteng is an A+ class car owned by FAW-Volkswagen. On April 9, 2006, German Volkswagen introduced the fifth generation of compact Jetta into the Chinese market and renamed it "Suiteng". In March 2012, the new generation of Suiteng officially went on sale, but there was a serious chassis suspension quality problem soon after the new car was launched, and some car owners encountered fracture time of the longitudinal arm of the rear axle, which was complained by a large number of car owners and exposed by the CCTV 315 gala.
