On December 6th, Mazda China released its latest sales results, showing that sales in November 2021 were 14754 vehicles, down 21.2% from 18727 vehicles in the same period last year, and 11.7% from 191737 vehicles in the same period last year.

Mazda China only reported sales of three models, the Unksera, CX-5 and CX-30, all of which are from Changan Mazda. Since FAW Mazda withdrew, Mazda China has no longer reported CX-4 and Atez sales. In terms of specific models, the highest-selling model is still the Onksera, which reached 9031 in November, accounting for about 61.2% of the total sales, while the CX-5 and CX-30 sold 2277 and 1458 respectively, with a total sales of 12766. In other words, the Atez and CX-4 of FAW Mazda are only 1988. It is really choking to see the current market performance of FAW Mazda.

The most important change of Mazda in China this year is the settlement of the merger of Changan Mazda and FAW Mazda. On August 24, Mazda Motor Co., Ltd., Chongqing Changan Automobile Co., Ltd. and China first Automobile Co., Ltd. issued a joint statement. According to the content, (new) Changan Mazda will be changed to a joint venture jointly funded by three parties, with Changan Automobile, Mazda and FAW holding 47.5%, 47.5% and 5% respectively. (new) Changan Mazda will inherit the related business of Changan Mazda and Mazda. At the same time, FAW Mazda will be changed to a joint venture jointly funded by Mazda and (new) Changan Mazda to continue to undertake the related business of Mazda brand cars. The official announcement said that in the future, the three parties will maximize the business structure and operation model of joint ventures in China in order to better meet the growing needs of the Chinese market.

At present, the merger of FAW Mazda and Changan Mazda has not yet been determined and needs to be reviewed by the relevant departments. However, the merger of FAW Mazda and Changan Mazda is basically certain, and the sales and after-sales service of the two companies are in the process of merging.

At the 19th Guangzhou International Auto Show, only Changan Mazda participated in the exhibition, which is also due to the merger of FAW Mazda and Changan Mazda. Since the merger of Changan Mazda and FAW Mazda in September, the new Changan Mazda made its debut at the Guangzhou auto show. It is also as a result of the merger that the Changan Mazda booth has the most complete model camp in China in the history of Mazda, including Onksera, Atez, CX-30, CX-4, CX-5, CX-8, CX-30 EV and RX-7 legendary rotor sports cars.

For Mazda, the following efforts in China will also be more focused. on October 8 this year, Mazda also announced SUV plans to launch five cross-border SUV models such as "MAZDA CX-50", "MAZDA CX-60", "MAZDA CX-70", "MAZDA CX-80" and "MAZDA CX-90" between 2022 and 2023.
