AutoBeta(AutoBeta.net)12/12 Report--

According to the latest data from the Federation of passengers, retail sales of luxury cars in November were 210000, down 19% from a year earlier and up 17% from a month earlier, down from the same period last year. The decline in sales in the luxury car market was mainly due to insufficient supply of chips and raw materials.

Judging from the sales of the picture above, the performance of BBA in the luxury car market in November is still outstanding. 6 of the 10 cars are from BBA. Among them, the BMW 5-Series, which topped the list of high-end car sales in October, once again occupied the top position of high-end car sales in mid-November. Its sales reached 14385 units, an increase of 3.2% over the same period last year. It can be seen that BMW should be the smallest BBA affected by the shortage of chips. It may continue to hit record highs in December sales.

Second on the list was Mercedes-Benz E-Class, with sales of 13556 vehicles. Audi A6 sales also exceeded Wanda's 11814, ranking third on the list, down 33.6% from a year earlier, but double month-on-month sales from October. Judging from the top three sales performance of the high-end car market, overall, the BBA still dominates the list, while the performance of the BMW 5-Series and Mercedes-Benz E-Class is also stable, while the Audi A6L, which performed moderately in the previous two months, reached the third place in November, mainly due to an increase in chip supply.

After finishing the top three, let's take a look at BBA, which ranks 4-6 on the list: the fourth is the BMW brand, although the BMW 5-Series has achieved good results, compared with the decline of the BMW 3-Series, which sold 11643 vehicles in November, down 20.4% from a year earlier. Mercedes-Benz C-Class and Audi A4 ranked fifth and sixth, respectively, and both models also declined, more significantly than the BMW 3-Series. Of these, Mercedes-Benz C-Class sales reached 8919, down 29.6% from a year earlier, while Audi A4 sold only 5863, nearly halving Audi A4 sales in November compared with 9691 last month.

After BBA, Hongqi H9, the self-owned luxury brand, ranked seventh in terms of high-end car sales, with sales of 3735 vehicles in November, up 25.9% from a year earlier, but its other model, the E-QM511, ranked ninth with 1372 vehicles in the month, down nearly half from the previous month. According to official sources, Red Flag E-QM5 is not sold to individual customers, but only for the high-end ride-hailing market, and the decline in sales in November may be related to this factor.

Ranking eighth and 10th in high-end car sales are Volvo S90 and Cadillac CT6. Volvo S90 sales fell 26.7% year-on-year to 2887 in November, while Cadillac CT6 sales fell 30.7% to 1359.

In terms of the high-end SUV list, unlike in the past, the top three are no longer monopolized by BBA, and the performance of new energy vehicles is eye-catching.

Tesla Model Y once again topped the list of high-end SUV in November. November sales rose sharply compared with October, with sales soaring from 13303 in October to 23117 in November, becoming the only car on the November list with sales exceeding 20, 000. The reason for the increase may not be due to the Shanghai superfactory.

Second on the list is ideal ONE, which comes from the new power of car building. It continued to maintain strong growth in November, with delivery volume reaching 13485, an increase of 190.2% compared with October 2020. Although sales of Lai ES6, also known as the "new force of car building", are not as good as ideal ONE, they also entered the top 10 with a score of 4713.

It was followed by BBA models: Mercedes-Benz GLCs, Audi Q5 and BMW X3, which ranked third, fourth and fifth respectively, with sales exceeding 10,000. Among them, Mercedes-Benz GLC sold 12269 vehicles in November, down 20% from a year earlier, while Audi Q5 and BMW X3 sales fell to varying degrees compared with the same period last year. However, it can be seen that sales of these high-end hot SUV models are picking up as the chip crisis gradually alleviates.

In addition, Volvo XC60, Volkswagen Tuen, NIO ES6, Mercedes-Benz GLB and Cadillac XT5 also made the high-end SUV list, with the exception of the Xilai ES6 sales increase of more than 2,000 vehicles, the overall performance of other models has not changed much from last month's performance. Overall, high-end SUV sales in November showed a surge in domestic cars, while the sharp decline in joint venture vehicles is still related to the shortage of chips.
