From the November luxury car market sales data released by the Federation, BBA is still the bearing of the luxury car market, especially in the car sector, 6 of the 10 cars are from BBA, the market position is unshakable. The BMW 5-Series once again topped the list of high-end cars in November, with sales up 3.2% year-on-year to 14385 vehicles. Although the increase in the BMW 5-Series is small, due to the lack of core, the BMW 5-Series is rarely able to achieve year-on-year growth. Mercedes-Benz E-Class retail sales were 13556 in November, down from October, but up 0.5% from a year earlier, making it the only two of the BBA sedans to achieve growth.

Other models are not optimistic, such as Audi A6L, BMW 3-Series, Mercedes-Benz C-Class, Audi A4L and other models have fallen sharply. Among them, although Audi A6L, as the benchmark for the BMW 5-Series and Mercedes-Benz E-Class, reached 11814 in November, twice as many as in October, it still dropped by 33.6% compared with the same period in 2020, while Audi A4L fell even more. Its decline reached 62.2%, making it the biggest drop on the list. It is not difficult to see that Audi's lack of core is more serious than BMW and Mercedes-Benz.

After BBA, Hongqi H9, an autonomous luxury car, ranked seventh in terms of high-end car sales, with 3735 new cars sold in November, up 25.9 per cent from a year earlier. As the most expensive fuel car in the Red Flag brand, the sales of the Red Flag H9 are basically stable at about 4000. As for the 25.9% year-on-year growth, it is mainly because Red Flag H9 was officially launched at this time last year, and sales in the first few months were relatively mediocre. In addition, Volvo S90 sales fell 26.7 per cent year-on-year to 2887 in November. Sales of the Cadillac CT6 were just 1359, down 30.7% from a year earlier.

In the high-end SUV list, there are "unfamiliar" models in the top three of the list, that is, the ideal ONE, while the first two models are new energy vehicles, and the first one is Tesla Model Y.

According to the data, the retail volume of Model Y in November was 23117, which once again ranked first in high-end SUV sales, with sales soaring from 13303 in October to 23117 in November, becoming the only model on the November ranking that sold more than 20, 000 vehicles. The reason for the increase may not be due to the Shanghai super factory. A few days ago, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the new Model Y revealed that the motor of the new car has been adjusted with the maximum power of 194kW, while the maximum power of domestic models on sale is 202kw, 331kw and 357kw, respectively. In the traditional high-end SUV camp, BBA sales of three products have reached more than 10,000 vehicles, but the decline is not small. The best performer was Mercedes-Benz GLC, which sold 12269 vehicles in November, followed by Audi Q5L and BMW X3 with 11411 and 10436, respectively.

It is worth mentioning that in the latest batch of new car declaration by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, brilliance BMW X5L has been declared by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and the new car is expected to be unveiled at the 2022 Beijing Auto Show. According to the declaration information, the length, width and height of the BMW X5L are 5060/2004/1779mm and wheelbase 3105mm respectively. In addition, Volvo XC60, Volkswagen Tuen, NIO ES6, Mercedes-Benz GLB and Cadillac XT5 also made the high-end SUV list, of which the Xilai ES6 sold 4713 vehicles, an increase of about 2000 compared with October, mainly due to the squeeze of orders caused by the factory renovation in October, some of which were not delivered until November.

From the list of high-end models published by the Federation, most of the luxury market share is still occupied by BBA brands, but sales decline is more serious, while looking at independent models such as Red Flag H9, ideal ONE, Xilai ES6 and new energy models, it is not difficult to see that the current chip shortage has a more serious impact on joint venture brands. Overall, December is a key month for major car companies to impact their performance, so sales performance in December is expected to be relatively good, but there is also a lot of uncertainty as well as the impact of the epidemic and chip supply.
