As technology becomes more and more intelligent, cars can not only fly into the sky, but there may also be emotional and intelligent car robots in the near future.

At the Baidu AI developer conference today, Robin Li, founder, chairman and CEO of Baidu, announced the latest developments of the first concept car and robot of Jidu. According to public data, on January 11 this year, Baidu and Geely Holdings announced that they would form a smart car company; on February 20, Baidu CEO Robin Li formally finalized the company's CEO candidate and brand name and plans to launch a new smart electric vehicle product in the next three years; on March 2, the joint venture "Jidu Automobile" between Baidu and Geely Holdings was officially established, with Xia Yiping as its legal representative. In June, Xia Yiping, CEO of Jidu Automobile, released many details of the first concept production car, including the price, appearance and interior design of the car. According to previous reports, Jidu's first volume car will be unveiled at the 2022 Beijing Auto Show. The new car will cost more than 200000 yuan and is expected to be booked next year. Although Baidu is an Internet company, but in the layout of the car-building incident, from the timeline point of view, Baidu's car-building road was finalized in only three months, which can be said to be extremely fast. However, this is not the first time Baidu has set foot in the automotive industry. Baidu began to study the research and development of self-driving as early as 2013. In 2017, Baidu also set up Apollo Apollo, a self-driving business, and worked with a number of domestic car companies to promote self-driving tests, so it is expected that Baidu will build cars.

After talking about the background, let's go back to the short video above. Baidu moves frequently on automobile research and development. In the video, Robin Li also reveals to the outside world the details of the car robot developed by Jidu. The robot will have L4 self-driving ability and run through the three product concepts of "free movement", "natural communication" and "self-growth". Li Yanhong pointed out: the car robot is based on the judgment of the future of automobile development, and expressed confidence in the future of Jidu. According to Li, radish fast, a self-driving travel service platform, is expected to expand to 65 cities in 2025 and 100 by 2030. Intelligent transportation will eliminate the need for purchase restrictions and traffic restrictions in China's first-tier cities within five years, and basically solve the congestion problem within 10 years.

In addition, Li Yanhong believes that the perception and control capabilities of Baidu AI will be widely used in the aerospace industry, so driverless cars are also expected to drive to the moon. In the field of driverless cars, Baidu partnered with Jinlong bus to launch the first L4-class mass production bus, Apolong, after the 100th of Apolong was officially off the line in July 2018. before that, Robin Li laughed that: unlike building PPT, there are often delays in car delivery. Li joked that mass production of self-driving cars in July 2018 was bragging, but the final result was to achieve mass production as scheduled in July 2018.

Now Li Yanhong says in a high profile that a driverless car can be driven to the moon or can it be completed on time? Of course, before the time comes, the answer to this question is still unknown.
