In addition, NIO also announced a preferential plan for car purchase in January 2022: users who buy new ES8, ES6 and EC6 from now on to January 31, and choose BaaS Kweilai battery rental service, the standard battery pack version of 75kWh model can enjoy personal subsidy of 11340 yuan, enterprise subsidy of 7938 yuan; 100kWh battery package version of the subsidy of 12600 yuan, enterprises 8820 yuan.

On December 31, 2021, the Ministry of Finance and other four ministries issued a notice on improving the financial subsidy policy for the promotion and application of new energy vehicles, which shows that the subsidy standard for new energy vehicles in 2022 will decline by 30% on the basis of 2021. It is clear that the subsidy for new energy vehicles will be terminated on December 31, 2022, and vehicles licensed after December 31 will no longer be subsidized. In addition, the notice clearly mentioned that the price of new energy passenger vehicles should be less than 300000 yuan (including 300000 yuan) before subsidies, and "power exchange mode" vehicles are not subject to this requirement.

According to the subsidy program, pure electric passenger vehicles with mileage of 300-400km in 2022 will be subsidized by 9100 yuan and reduced by 3888 yuan; pure electric passenger vehicles with mileage not less than 400km will be subsidized by 12600 yuan and reduced by 5400 yuan; and plug-in hybrid (plus) passenger vehicles with mileage no less than 50km will be subsidized by 4800 yuan and reduced by 2040 yuan. Judging from the above data, consumers will have to pay more for new energy vehicles in 2022, and the longer the mileage of pure electric vehicles, the more they will be refunded in 2022. By 2023, all new energy vehicles will no longer enjoy subsidies.

In addition to the national level, enterprises and local governments will also give some support to the purchase of new energy vehicles, so consumers can enjoy more subsidies than expected, but with the large-scale decline of national new energy subsidies, it is also an inevitable result that consumers will have to bear more costs to buy new energy vehicles in the future.

Affected by the decline of subsidies for new energy vehicles, a number of car companies announced price increases at the end of the year. On December 31, 2021, Tesla Model 3 and Model Y models both raised prices on a large scale, of which the price of the upgraded version of Model 3 rear wheel drive was adjusted to 265652 yuan, an increase of 10,000 yuan over the previous version, and the price of Model Y rear wheel drive version was adjusted to 301840 yuan, an increase of 21088 yuan. Tesla said that the prices of the products are all from the starting price after the subsidy, which is derived from the starting price before the subsidy minus the estimated subsidy amount for new energy vehicles in 2022. If the price of the selected vehicle is higher than 300000 yuan, the above new energy vehicle subsidy will not be enjoyed, and the final subsidy amount shall prevail with the policy issued at the time of vehicle delivery.

On December 29, 2021, the official price of Ji Xing Automobile was increased, and the price of its Polestar 2 was adjusted, in which the price of the standard continued version of a single motor rose from 252800 yuan to 257800 yuan, the price of the long-lasting version of a single motor increased from 282800 yuan to 287800 yuan, and the price of the long-lasting version of dual-motor remained unchanged. It is understood that the price adjustment will take effect from January 1.

On December 28th, the price of Zero running T03 under Zero running Automobile is updated. The price of 2022 models is 6.89-84900 yuan, while that of 2021 models is 5.98-99800 yuan. The price of 2022 minimum-equipped models is 8000 yuan higher than that of 2021 models, and the mileage is lower. The 2021 NEDC has a range of 403 km and the 2022 NEDC is 301km.

In order to attract consumers, some car companies have issued a price insurance policy at the last time. Xiaopeng said that if users place an order before 24:00 on January 10, they can lock in the subsidy for 2021, and Xiaopeng will bear the part of the slope. From January 11, 2022, Xiaopeng Motor will adjust the price system, the details of which will be subject to the notice.

According to the FAW-Volkswagen official poster, the state subsidy for new energy has declined by 5400 yuan since January 1, 2022, with the guidance prices of ID.4 CROZZ and ID.6 CROZZ below, seemingly telling consumers that it will cost 5400 yuan more to buy a car after January 1. However, officials also say they can enjoy 2021 new energy subsidies if they are purchased before February 28.

The decline of subsidies for new energy vehicles will more or less affect the performance of the end market, and it will indeed reduce consumers' desire to buy new energy vehicles, but in the long run, the impact of subsidy decline on the market of new energy vehicles is limited, and growth is still a major trend. According to the data, sales of new energy vehicles fell slightly by 4% in 2019, increased by 10% year-on-year in 2020, and accumulated 2.514 million new energy vehicles from January to November 2021, up 178.3% from the same period last year.

Cui Dongshu, secretary general of the Federation of passengers, is very optimistic about the future performance of new energy vehicles, saying that according to the new policy, the framework and threshold requirements of the current technical index system for purchase subsidies will remain unchanged in 2022, while the scale of subsidies will be liberalized from the original upper limit of 2 million vehicles to achieve subsidies throughout the year. This policy is bound to promote a sharp increase in the total sales of new energy vehicles in 2022, adjusting the number of new energy passenger vehicles from 4.8 million to 5.5 million, and the number of new energy vehicles is expected to exceed 6 million.
