AutoBeta(AutoBeta.net)01/17 Report--
Weimar is in a storm because of the power-locking incident of electric cars. A number of media reported that due to the Weima car power lock problem car, the car owner's vehicle life has been greatly reduced, affecting the use experience, some car owners jointly sent a lawyer letter to the manufacturer to protect their rights.
According to the "Chinese car Circle" report, some netizens posted that Weima was suspected of false propaganda and tried every means to trick users into door-to-door "maintenance" in order to cover up the serious safety defect of Weima car battery continuous spontaneous combustion, but secretly "castrated" the battery. The actual battery life of a large number of users has been reduced by 60% to 70%. After it was discovered, Weima refused to admit the relevant facts, ignoring the practical demands of the majority of users, and there has been no way for users to communicate through various channels for half a year. On January 10, 173 Weima owners could not bear to make solemn representations to Weima Motor Company spontaneously within 3 days, demanding that Weima immediately stop false propaganda within 7 days, stop infringing upon users' rights and interests, take the initiative to take responsibility for safety, and make up for major safety defects. Compensate users for losses, publicly and sincerely apologize, and actively respond to users' legitimate demands. So far, Weima has no response, and the arrogance shown by Weima over the past half a year has made users completely chill. Now, we have solicited relevant evidence of Weima's infringement on users from the majority of Weima users and filed a lawsuit against Weima in due course.
According to previous reports concerned by the automobile industry, some Weima owners have revealed to the media that Weima will carry out an "excellent user for the New year" activity from December 23, 2021 to January 15, 2022. Lucky users who are randomly selected will be given a comprehensive vehicle inspection and a Jingdong card worth 200 yuan. However, many car owners found that cars that could have traveled 350 kilometers could only travel less than 300 kilometers after vehicle inspection, and car owners questioned that their vehicles might be "locked". Found that the "power-locked" car owners reflected to Weima manufacturers through APP, customer service phones, offline stores and other ways, and even car owners specially produced a song "cheated me for 200 yuan" to protect their rights. In this regard, Weima factory staff denied the claim, saying that "this situation is not known for the time being."
According to the car quality website of the car complaint website, on January 5, some Weima owners complained that they bought the Weima EX5 400in February 2019 and have now driven 50, 000 kilometers. In July 2021, the manufacturer upgraded the battery BMS of the car, and the range after the upgrade was significantly reduced. The same road conditions and driving environment used to drive 350km, but now it is only less than 260km. Later, it was found that after the upgrade, the battery charge was limited to about 5 degrees without the user's knowledge, which directly affected the driving range of more than 80 kilometers, harming the interests of consumers, and then communicating with the manufacturer many times through the phone did not solve the problem.
However, with regard to the problem of power locking of Weima electric cars, there have been feedback and complaints from car owners since July 2021, when Weimar officials responded that the problem was a recent feedback from individual users and was an occasional case. But since July 2021, more and more users have complained about the problem, and in recent months, Weima electric cars have been frequently exposed fire stories, which may be the reason why users have lost confidence in Weimar.
Up to now, Weima Automobile has not made any response to the above-mentioned car owners' collective complaint against Weima Motor.
