Data show that Ranger Automobile, founded in 2014 and headquartered in Shanghai, is an integrated intelligent electric vehicle manufacturing enterprise integrating R & D, design, production, sales and service of new energy vehicles. it is also an earlier batch of Chinese new power car manufacturing enterprises. In July 2015, Huang Xiuyuan, founder and CEO of a brand launch and PPT, announced the official launch of the first pure electric car, the Ranger X, which took 482days to develop and caused a sensation in the auto circle. In December 2015, Wei Jun, chairman of Xituo Industrial Group, joined Ranger with money and team as chairman of Ranger. According to the heavenly eye survey, Ranger car has completed three rounds of financing of A, B and B +, with a cumulative financing amount of more than 8 billion US dollars. In October 2017, Ranger Automobile completed its round An investment, with a total financing of 1.22 billion yuan, including Xinhua Silk Road Fund, Jingxing Tiancheng and other investment institutions. Unlike other new power brands, Ranger insists on building its own factory. In April 2017, Ranger signed a cooperation agreement with the government of Wuxing District, Huzhou City, planning to build a super factory project of Ranger cars (Huzhou) in Wuxing District, which will begin construction in 2017 and plan to go public in 2019 with a total production capacity of 200000 units. Until now, the construction of the factory is still stagnant, and there is no further development of the car-building project. In December 2019, the government of Wuxing District, Huzhou City discussed to take over the knight-errant factory project and planned to acquire land for the knight-errant automobile industry project and dispose of projects under construction, which is conducive to invigorating land resources, defusing project risks and reducing disposal costs.

In the middle of last year, some media visited the self-built factory of Ranger cars. The project has been suspended for more than half a year, and the project construction headquarters at the site has also been evacuated, leaving the slogan "Walk in Heaven and Earth and never forget the original ideal and ambition for a long trip in the future." According to the security guard left behind at the site, the construction site has been suspended after the Chinese New year in 2021, and the project construction headquarters was evacuated in April and May. The security guard told the reporter that the workers had not been here since they returned home for the Spring Festival, and there were no workers on the construction site a long time ago. now there are only three security guards here to look at the construction site, three shifts, more than 2000 yuan a month, and the wages are paid by the security company. Ranger cars sometimes come to the construction site to have a look.

Car building is a very expensive industry. Li Bin of Xilai Automobile once said bluntly that building a car is a very expensive thing, so if a start-up wants to build a car, it needs at least more than 20 billion of the capital, otherwise it will not be done well.
