Recently, the Internet has exposed a set of PPT screenshots of suspected internal training in Tank 100. Judging from the pictures taken, Tank 100 is positioned as "young people's first off-road vehicle" and "young people's first convertible" and will launch manual and automatic gear models, of which the price of manual gear is 89900 yuan. The prices of the two models of automatic gear are 9.99 yuan and 109900 yuan. Configuration information shows that the tank 100 is equipped with a standard 1.5T engine, a non-load-bearing body, time-sharing all-wheel drive and L2-assisted driving.

Prior to this, rendering drawings and design manuscripts of Tank 100 also appeared on the Internet. According to the relevant pictures, Tank 100 basically continues the square box shape of Tank 300. the front face also uses round headlights and incorporates horizontal LED daily lights to maintain high visual recognition. The bottom will also be equipped with a wider bumper to highlight its own hard-line flavor. In other words, Tank 100 is like a miniature version of Tank 300. However, clues can also be found from the overall shape. Isn't this the front face of Gimney + Tank 300?

In fact, there has been a response from relevant people on the network for the incident of Tank 100. For example, in the internal training of car companies, we usually choose to use the model code to report, rather than directly use the model name, such as tank 500 internal code P03, tank 300 internal code P01.

According to the information obtained by the attention of the automobile industry, the wheelbase range supported by the tank platform is 2750-3750mm, and the wheelbase of the tank is 2750mm. In other words, the tank 300 should be the smallest SUV under the tank brand, while the tank 100 is significantly smaller unless the tank brand or Great Wall launches a new manufacturing platform. These trademarks may become the mass production model names of tank brands, but it does not mean that tank brands will launch these models. This behavior is more like trademark protection.

Judging from the feedback from netizens on Tank 100, it really surprised many young people. Since Suzuki withdrew from China, Jimni can only be introduced into China through parallel imports, but it has been slow to introduce into China because of emission regulations, and even if it enters the Chinese market, the price will be too high because of various taxes. therefore, if a car company can produce and launch such a positioned off-road vehicle, the size is smaller and the price is lower, similar to the product positioning of Suzuki Jimney to make up for the gap in the market. However, based on the official clarification of the tank brand and the existing manufacturing capacity of the tank platform, at least for now, the mass production of the tank 100 will not be very likely.

So why don't tank brands withdraw from Tank 100? As we all know, Tank 300 was first built under the Great Wall WEY brand. Later, because of its different model style with WEY brand and good market sales, Great Wall Automobile finally made it independent into a brand, but no matter it is a tank brand or WEY brand, its positioning is high-end market, while Tank 100 is more like a civilian car, which is inconsistent with the positioning of the tank brand. The other is the above tank platform, tank brand models will come from the tank platform, and the tank platform is a professional off-road platform for Great Wall Automobile, including B, C, D and D+ SUV and pickup models, but it also has certain production standards. According to the public information of the tank platform, the tank platform supports the wheelbase of 2750-3750mm, while the wheelbase of the tank is 2750mm, so it is almost impossible to launch a lower positioning tank.

According to the official website of the tank brand, at present, only one model of the tank brand is on sale, and there are two versions of the off-road version and the city version, in which the off-road version of the Challenger is priced at 195800 yuan, and the cross-country version of the Conqueror is priced at 213800 yuan. The price of the urban version is 200000 yuan, the urban version is 220000 yuan, and the urban version must be (limited) 230000 yuan. Statistics show that a total of 84588 tanks were sold in 2021.

In addition, the tank 500 was officially pre-sold at the 2021 Guangzhou Motor Show, with a pre-price range of 33.5-395000 yuan. In terms of power, the tank 500 is equipped with a 3.0T engine with a maximum power of 354 horsepower and a maximum torque of 500N m, which is matched by a nine-speed manual transmission and four-wheel drive. It is understood that the Tank 500 will be officially launched in early March.
