According to the announcement of the State Administration of Market Supervision and Administration, SAIC GM Wuling Automobile Co., Ltd. has filed the recall plan with the State Administration of Market Supervision and Administration in accordance with the requirements of the regulations on the recall of defective Automobile products and the measures for the implementation of the regulations on the recall of defective Automobile products. It is decided that a total of 609779 Wuling Hongguang S3 and New Wuling Hongguang S cars produced between July 10, 2017 and March 26, 2021 will be recalled from March 10, 2022.

According to the recall announcement, the manufacturing size of manual transmission parts of some vehicles within the scope of the recall is too poor, resulting in insufficient gear retention, which may cause occasional six-gear derailment under specific operating conditions, resulting in temporary interruption of power transmission of the vehicle. in extreme cases, there may be safety risks. Therefore, SAIC GM Wuling Motor Co., Ltd. will carry out free inspection for vehicles within the scope of the recall, and free replacement of gearbox maintenance components for vehicles identified as defective after inspection, in order to eliminate safety risks.

It is understood that the recall was carried out under the circumstances that the State Administration of Market Supervision and Administration launched a defect investigation. Affected by the investigation, SAIC GM Wuling Motor Co., Ltd. decided to take recall measures to eliminate safety risks.
