According to the spy photos and declaration pictures of the road test, the design of the domestic BMW X5 is consistent with the overseas version, and the front face design of the mid-term modification of the overseas version will still be used. using a larger "double kidney" intake grille and retaining the classic angel eye headlamp design, the front enclosure still uses a three-part styling design, which is the same as the current M sports suite. In the rear part of the car, the new car taillight adopts a black design, and the rear is surrounded by a silver rear diffuser decoration and two-sided exhaust layout.

In terms of size, the domestic BMW X5 will fully lengthen the body size, the length, width and height are 5060/2004/1779mm, wheelbase 3105mm. As a reference, the length, width and height of the imported BMW X5 are 4930x2004x1776mm and the wheelbase is 2975 mm. The domestic BMW X5 long wheelbase model also surpasses the competitive Mercedes-Benz GLE in terms of body length and wheelbase, and its wheelbase size is even tied with the "Big Brother" BMW X7.

In terms of interior decoration, according to the spy photos of the road test, the new car basically continues the design of the imported BMW X5. The shape and layout of the 12.3-inch central control screen and full LCD instrument, three-spoke steering wheel, air conditioning control area and block area are basically the same as imported models.

In terms of power, the new car will be equipped with 2.0T turbocharged four-cylinder engine and 3.0T turbocharged in-line six-cylinder engine, with a maximum power of 272 horsepower and 370 horsepower respectively, and the transmission system will still match the eight-speed manual transmission. According to the application information, the domestic BMW X5 long wheelbase model will provide two power levels of xDrive30Li and xDrive40Li, of which the xDrive30Li carries 2.0T four-cylinder engine (B48B20G), which is produced by BMW brilliance, and the xDrive40Li carries 3.0T in-line six-cylinder engine (B58B30C), which is produced by BMW AG, that is, this engine is supplied through import.

As a medium and large SUV under BMW, the imported BMW X5 sells for between 69.99 and 863900 yuan in China. Of course, the price of imported models is generally high in China, because consumers have to pay for consumption tax, import duty and emission tax, and if this model can be made domestically, then its price in China will also fall sharply.

At present, BMW has domestic X1, X2 and X3 fuel SUV in China, of which the official guiding price of X1 is 27.98-339800 yuan, and that of X3 is 38.98-475800 yuan. It is expected that the price of brilliance BMW X5 will be more than 100000 yuan higher than that of brilliance BMW X3, that is, in the range of 50-600000 yuan. However, the wheelbase is lengthened based on the imported version, and the starting price of 558000 yuan given above is also in line with certain expectations. At present, it is certain that the domestic X5 in the performance-to-price ratio will be greatly improved, as for the extent of decline, the specific price, or to the official news.

According to the auto industry's statistics and the release of the 2021 domestic luxury brand sales list, BMW brand sales totaled 821000 vehicles in 2021, an increase of 8.3% over the same period last year. Mercedes-Benz and Audi fell 3.6% and 5.5% respectively. According to the insurance volume, sales of the BMW 5-Series and BMW 3-Series were 185000 and 184000 respectively, up 8.0% and 9.4% year-on-year, respectively, while the BMW X3 increased 11.7% to 152000 vehicles.
