Another car company raises prices! According to Wuling official news, the price of Wuling NanoEV has been adjusted, and the automobile industry has learned from Wuling Automobile's official website that Wuling Motor has updated the price of Wuling NanoEV. The adjusted price range is 5.28-62800 yuan, and the price of all models has increased by 3000 yuan.

For this price adjustment, SAIC GM Wuling official said that Wuling NanoEV prices have been adjusted to a certain extent, because since January 1, 2022, the state has implemented the latest subsidy standard for new energy vehicles, which has declined by 30% on the basis of 2021. The overall price of the new energy market has "risen", followed by the rising price of raw materials for new energy vehicles, and the cost of making cars is getting higher and higher.

In fact, just a week after February, two car companies, Feifan and BYD, have announced price increases, also due to the decline in subsidies for new energy vehicles and the sharp rise in raw material prices.

On February 1, Feifan announced that the prices of some models of its MARVEL R and ER6 series will be adjusted, of which the adjusted price of MARVEL R is 21.98-261800 yuan. Except for the entry-level models, the prices of rear-drive PRO and four-wheel drive PRO have both increased by 2000 yuan. The adjusted price of Feifan ER6 is 15.68-201800 yuan, and the price of all models has increased by 1000 yuan.

On Feb. 1, BYD announced a price increase for some of its new energy models, including its new energy product series Chao.com and Hai.com. The specific models are Qin PLUS DM-i, Qin PLUS EV, Song PLUS DM-i, Song PLUS EV, Song Pro DM-i, Yuan Pro, Han EV, Han DM, Tang DM-i, 2021 Tang DM and Dolphin models, with an increase of 1000-7000 yuan and 1000-7000 yuan for 11 models.

Prior to this, according to statistics, since December 2021, a number of car companies have announced increases in vehicle prices, including Tesla, Xiaopeng Automobile, Nahan Automobile, GAC Ean, Zero and other new energy vehicle brands have successively raised the prices of some of their models.

On December 28, 2021, the price of Zero run T03 of Zero Motor Co., Ltd. increased. The price of 2022 models is 6.89-84900 yuan, while that of 2021 models is 5.98-99800 yuan. The price of 2022 minimum-equipped models is 8000 yuan higher than that of 2021 models.

On December 31, 2021, Tesla announced an increase in the prices of Model 3 and Model Y models, in which the price of Model 3 rear wheel drive version was adjusted to 265652 yuan, up 10, 000 yuan, and the price of Model Y rear wheel drive version was adjusted to 301840 yuan, up 21088 yuan.

On January 1 this year, the price of Ji Xing 2, the main model of Ji Xing Automobile, officially increased, involving both low and medium models, with an increase of 5000 yuan. The official price of Ji Xing 2 is 25.78-338000 yuan.

On January 11 this year, Xiaopeng announced a price increase of several thousand yuan for all its models, of which the flagship P7 of Xiaopeng rose 4300 to 5900 yuan, with the latest subsidized price of 22.42 to 409900 yuan; the new P5 rose 4800 to 5400 yuan, and the latest subsidized price was 16.27 to 229300 yuan; and the SUV G3i model rose 4800 to 5400 yuan, and the latest subsidized price was 15.46 to 193200 yuan.

The U part and V models of Nezha increased by 3000-5000 yuan and 2000 yuan respectively, of which the cruise version of Nezhu U Pro 400 increased by 5000 yuan to 104800 yuan, and the price of Najia U Pro 500 Global version, 500 lunar landing version and 610 fire detection version all increased by 3000 yuan to 13.28,14.28 and 162800 yuan respectively. The upgraded version of the standard continued voyage version, the upgraded version of the standard continuous voyage version and the magic girl version of the V Pro were all increased by 2000 yuan to RMB 6.29,6.59,7.29 and 74900 yuan respectively, while the price of the Nadu V long-lasting Voyage Smart Edition and the long-lasting Voyage Smart Edition were all increased by 2000 yuan to 7.89 yuan and 82900 yuan respectively.

In addition, the price of GAC Ean LX rose by 4000 yuan, and the new AION S Plus on the market rose by more than 7000 yuan than the 2021 model.

The automobile industry is concerned that many models have announced price increases in addition to subsidies and retrogression (December 31, 2021, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Science and Technology, and the National Development and Reform Commission jointly issued that the subsidy standard for new energy vehicles in 2022 will decline by 30% on the basis of 2021. It is clear why the subsidy for new energy vehicles will be terminated on December 31, 2022, and vehicles licensed after December 31 will no longer be subsidized). The fluctuation of raw material prices is one of the key reasons for the price increase of car companies.

The cost of automobile power battery in 2021 is greatly affected by the price fluctuation of metal raw materials in the upper reaches of the supply chain, including cobalt, nickel, manganese, lithium and their compounds. Among them, the tight supply and demand of lithium carbonate, one of the raw materials necessary for the production of lithium batteries, has directly led to higher prices, compared with the beginning of last year, according to the statistics of the China Automotive Power Battery Industry Innovation Alliance. The average price of mainstream ternary lithium battery cathode materials increased by 108.9%, and the average price of lithium iron phosphate battery cathode materials increased by 182.5%. The early price of lithium was only 30, 000 yuan / ton, but now it has risen to 330000-340000 yuan / ton, an increase of 10 times. People in the industry predict that the lithium carbonate market will remain tight for some time in the future, and the growth rate of industry supply is far from meeting market demand, but it is expected to ease in the second half of this year as new production capacity is put into production one after another.

Finally, back to the topic of price increase of Wuling NanoEV, Wuling NanoEV is an important member of Wuling GSEV series. At the 2021 China (Tianjin) International Auto Show, which opened on September 29th last year, Wuling Motor announced the official launch of the limited model of NanoEV Disney Crazy Animal City. In addition, there are two different versions of the car: the fun model and the love model.

At present, SAIC GM Wuling has launched KiWi EV, NanoEV and other models after it became popular in the electric car market with Hongguang MINIEV. In terms of sales, data show that Wuling NanoEV and the popular Wuling Hongguang MINIEV sold 750000 last year, in other words, one GSEV for every two small new energy vehicles sold in China. Of course, the most important contribution is Wuling Hongguang MINIEV. According to previous reports, since Hongguang MINIEV was listed on December 31, 2021, its overall sales have exceeded 550000, including 55729 in December 2021 and 426452 in 2021, an increase of 250.7% year on year, making it the top seller of new energy vehicles in China.
