As a medium-term revamped model, it has been replaced with an updated design language, which is younger than the current model, but the sincerity is slightly inadequate. Specifically, the new Lang Yi continues to use a large-size inverted trapezoidal forward air grille, the interior is embellished with horizontal chromium-plated strips, and connected with the headlights on both sides to form an integrated visual effect. At the same time, the new Lang Yi is also equipped with a three-stage air intake, which is different from the current model. In the rear, the new car is mainly adjusted for some details, such as the double chrome decoration of the cash model has been cancelled and replaced by a penetrating black trim. In terms of size, the new Lang Yi length, width and height are 4678/1806/1474mm and the wheelbase is 2688mm.

What needs to be noted in particular is that the new Lang Yi will launch the Star version on the basis of ordinary models. From the overall appearance, the difference between the Star version and the ordinary version lies in the front face, and the interior of the front grille is chrome-plated dot matrix details, just like the Passat Star empty version. At the same time, the car adds imitation air intake shape on both sides of the front bumper, and is equipped with sports rims and a small spoiler in the back car, and many details of the car body are also blackened.

As for the interior, it is expected that the ordinary model and the Star version will remain the same. According to the official picture, the new Lang Yi center console will use a suspended multimedia display screen, which is different from the embedded screen used by the current Lang Yi. At the same time, the interior design style of the new Lang Yi is similar to that of the new Ling du L, such as the Volkswagen family's new three-spoke steering wheel with a suspended multimedia display size of 12 inches.

In terms of configuration, according to the declaration chart, the new Lanya offers a variety of styles of front grille, multi-style rim, multi-style front / rear bumper, chrome bright trim under the side window, rear camera, skylight and so on. As for power, the new car will provide 1.5L, 1.2T and 1.4T engines with maximum power of 83kw, 85kw and 110kw, respectively. According to the new Lang Yi, the 5-speed manual or 6-speed manual transmission matched with the 1.5L engine and the 7-speed dry double-clutch transmission matched with 1.2T and 1.4T engines.

It is understood that Volkswagen launched a new 1.5L naturally aspirated engine to replace 1.4L and 1.6L naturally aspirated engine, so that 1.5L engine can be connected to the latest EA211 engine platform to build, which is intended to increase production and sales and reduce costs.

In terms of sales, Lang Yi is the highest-selling model of the Volkswagen brand. According to the data, Volkswagen Longyi sold 428621 vehicles in 2021, followed by Volkswagen Bora and Volkswagen Suiteng. In the car market, Volkswagen Lang Yi's sales are lower than Nissan's Xuanyi, which sold 512128 vehicles in 2021. The difference is that Nissan Xuanyi uses new and old models to sell together, which is actually the sales of two models. In view of this, the launch of the new Lang Yi may boost sales growth.

Long Yi, also known as "small Passat", will launch the Star version at the same time in the future, which will be more interesting. On August 26, 2021, SAIC-Volkswagen mid-term revamped Passat was officially launched, with a total of 13 new models with a price range of 17.99-250900 yuan. Among them, the empty version of Passat Star launched three models, the price range is 20.39-231900 yuan.
