According to Tianjin TV News 1, FAW Toyota will schedule three new cars this year, including FAW Toyota bZ4X pure electric SUV (Chinese name to be determined), FAW Toyota GRANVIA (Guangzhou Toyota version of the sister model) and a brand new electric car with BYD blade battery. It is understood that the first phase of FAW-Toyota new energy vehicle project has been completed by the end of 2021, and three new cars are scheduled to be completed by the end of December 2022.

From the exposed images, the first model produced by the factory in the future will be FAW Toyota bZ4X (internal code name EVE3), the new car positioning pure electric compact SUV, has entered the state of trial production and is expected to be officially put into production in June this year. The Toyota bZ4X is the first Toyota "Beyond Zero" to go beyond the concept of zero emissions. According to previous reports from the automotive industry, Toyota bZ4X, as the first model of Toyota's new pure electric exclusive series "bZ", is based on e-TNGA architecture and will be built by FAW Toyota new energy plant BEV exclusive platform in the future. in addition, Toyota bZ4X will adopt a two-car strategy model, which will be domestically produced by FAW Toyota and Guangzhou Automobile Toyota respectively. The bZ4X model was first unveiled at the Shanghai Auto Show and the fourth China International Import Expo in April and November last year.
