On February 19th, pure electric SUV yuan PLUS, a new compact model of BYD's dynasty series, was officially launched, with a total of five models, with a price range of 131800-159800 yuan after comprehensive subsidy.

Yuan PLUS is BYD's first A-class SUV based on e-platform 3.0, after the new car was pre-sold by New Year's Day this year. In terms of appearance, the new car uses BYD's latest Dragon Face 3.0 family design, with smooth lines, a narrow headlamp and a large-size diversion groove on the front face, and a wide chrome strip embossed with the word "yuan" of Xiao Zhuan, making the overall front face more sharp. On the side of the body, the new car is equipped with a "dragon scale board" decoration in the side D column position, and the windows are inlaid with chrome strips and extended to the rear of the car, forming a suspended roof shape visually. The rear part of the car also uses a penetrating LED taillight, which echoes with the headlights. In terms of body size, the length, width and height of the new car are 4455/1875/1615mm, wheelbase 2720mm, positioning compact SUV. Compared with Yuan Pro, the height of the new car is lower than Yuan Pro. In addition, in terms of body color, the new car provides five colors for consumers to choose: ski white, climbing ash, running cool red, surfing blue and adventure green.

In the interior part, the new car is equipped with BYD's classic rotary central control screen, equipped with a 5.6in adaptive rotary suspension Pad and DiLink4.0 intelligent network connection system, in which DiPilot intelligent driving assistance system includes ACC adaptive cruise, automatic parking and other functions. In terms of seats, the new car is equipped with all-in-one sports-style seats, making the car look younger.

In terms of power, the new car is equipped with permanent magnet synchronous motor, the maximum power is 150kW, and the peak torque is 310N ·m. In terms of range, BYD PLUS is equipped with lithium iron phosphate blade battery, which has the capacity of 50.12kWh and 60.48kWh respectively, the comprehensive mileage of the new car is 430km and 510km, and the acceleration is only 7.3s.

The new car is the first SUV model under BYD e platform 3.0. since New Year's Day's pre-sale this year, the domestic order volume of multiple PLUS has exceeded 20000 in just one month, which shows the hot degree of the market. it is understood that the new car is also synchronously booked in the Australian market and named "Atto3". After that, the car will also enter the Asia-Pacific region, Europe, America and Dongfeng Africa.

Now with the arrival of Yuan plus, the product rectangle of BYD's "dynasty family" will be more perfect. Judging from the current positioning and price of Yuan PLUS, the new car will compete with models such as Xiaoke, Carola Ruifang, colorful Zhi and Feng Landa.

According to the data, BYD sold 730093 vehicles in 2021, an increase of 75.4 percent over the same period last year, of which new energy passenger car sales reached 593745, an increase of 231.60 percent, of which the Yuan family sold 41402 vehicles for the whole year. So far, BYD has released its first report card in January 2022. The latest figures show that BYD sold 95422 vehicles in January, an increase of 125.05% over the same period last year, including 92926 new energy passenger vehicles, an increase of 365.65% over the same period last year. Among them, the Yuan family sold 8596 vehicles in January.
