AutoBeta(AutoBeta.net)02/23 Report--

Russian Minister of Industry and Trade Dennis Manturov said that the first Russian-made Zetta electric car will be offline in Russia by the end of 2022. At the same time, Manturov clearly pointed out that according to the Russian Federation's vision for the production and use of electric vehicles by 2030, the total production of electric vehicles in Russia will exceed 730000 by 2030.

The Zetta is under the electric model that Russia will mention in the past two years. In March last year, Manturov tested the model, saying at the time that "production will go into production by the end of the year, and it all depends on the progress of the experimental design work." Obviously, the latest news released by Manturov seems to mean that Zetta skipped tickets for a year. In the previous year, some media estimated that it would be put into production by the end of 2020. At this pace, there will still be a big gap compared with the speed mentioned by Russian President Putin. It is not clear whether mass production can be carried out as scheduled by the end of this year.

The Zetta is a small electric car similar to the domestic Wuling Hongguang MINI EV, which adopts the layout of three doors and two seats, and is the captain of 3035mm. According to the news released by the manufacturer, 99% of the car's parts are made in Russia, and only the batteries are imported from China. In terms of power and battery life, the Zetta is equipped with two drive motors, both of which are used to drive the front wheels, the total power of the system is 72.4kW, the capacity of the battery pack is 10kWh, the battery life is 200km, and the top speed is 120km / h. According to Russian media reports, the price of the Zetta is 450000 rubles, or about 42600 yuan.

On March 26th, 2021, Mantulov took a test ride in the prototype car of Zetta while inspecting Toriarty. He says the control is very comfortable, but points out that it needs to be improved, especially sound insulation and interiors. It was this media report that conveyed to the outside world the news that mass production would be made by the end of the year. On the same occasion, he also experienced the first Russian-made Aurusa hydrogen-powered car.

In 2018, the media also exposed that another model of Russian electric car, CV-1, produced by Kalashnikov, the manufacturer of AK-47, was designed from the retro appearance of IZH-21252 KOMBI, a former Soviet Iri station wagon in the 1970s. It can achieve 0-100km/h acceleration in 6 seconds and can travel 350km on the premise of being fully charged. However, for some reason, there is no relevant news any more. On the contrary, retro electric cars begin to be popular in China, and there is a trend of further development.

The slow progress of electric cars in Russia may be related to its climate. Shrinking mileage in winter is a common fault of electric cars, not to mention in the cold regions of Russia, Manturov himself once complained that Tesla almost made him unable to go home. He said: Tesla claims that this car has a range of up to 450km, but my experience shows that after parking at-30 ℃ for 1.5 hours Tesla could hardly let me drive home. In view of this, the progress of electric cars in Russia also seems excusable.
