From the video, the whole body of the ideal ONE was covered by fire, the fire was very ferocious, the scene was accompanied by strong black smoke, and some vehicle parts were scattered on the ground. As for the section of the road that occurred, according to the relevant pictures, the accident may have occurred on the north-south section of country Road in Foshan City, Guangdong Province, and the vehicle was taken away by rescue vehicles after the fire. As for the cause of the fire, the ideal car has not responded as of press time.

It is worth mentioning that just yesterday, a number of media reported that an ideal ONE caught fire in an open-air parking lot, the car was parked normally but not recharged, the fire was suspected to be located in the front of the vehicle, the whole vehicle had been burned into an empty shell and skeleton, the original blue paint of the car body also fell off, and the rear door was opened. Another picture shows that firefighters have brought the fire of the vehicle under control, but the accident vehicle was basically burned out, leaving only the frame. In response to this accident, as of press time, ideal car also did not respond.

This is the third fire accident since the launch of the new ideal ONE. It is understood that the 2021 ideal ONE will officially go on sale on May 25, 2021, with a price of 338000 yuan and 348000 yuan. There are no big changes in the appearance and interior of the new model, mainly in the software, hardware and configuration of the auxiliary driving system. For example, the main camera of the new ideal ONE is raised to 8 million pixels and a recognition angle of 120 degrees. The millimeter wave radar adopts Bosch's fifth generation products and increases to 5, each with a recognition range of 150 degrees and a detection distance of more than 110 degrees. The driving system chip is upgraded to two Horizon third-generation chips, the seats in the first two rows are equipped with electric waist rest and waist massage function; the fuel tank volume of the new ideal ONE is increased from 45L to 55L to 55L NEDC range to 1080km. Compared with the old model, the new ideal ONE costs only 10, 000 yuan more.

Half a year after the new car went on sale, in November 2021, an ideal ONE rear-ended a Ulay EC6 on the highway and caught fire. Fortunately, both drivers were fine. According to the analysis of these fires, there were two fires after the collision. As an electric vehicle, it is very common to catch fire after an accident, because after a strong impact, the battery compartment may be squeezed, the heat may be seriously out of control, and there may be a fire or even explosion within seconds. Although the cause of the accident is uncontrollable, the protection of Sandian still has something to do with the manufacturing process of the car company. The other two were fires without a collision, and so far, the ideal car has not responded to the causes of several fires.

The latest data show that in January 2022, ideal cars delivered a total of 12268 ideal ONE, an increase of 128.1% over the same period last year and a slight decrease of 12.9% from the previous month, surpassing the January delivery volume of Lulai (9652), second only to Xiaopeng (12922). For a new power car company, it is still very sensitive to the product fire, but no matter what causes the fire accident, the authorities should pay attention to it. After all, if the authorities do not respond, there will be a lot of false speculation in the market, which is always not a good solution for car companies.
