The appearance of Dongfeng Infiniti QX60 is consistent with that of overseas models, with a large inverted trapezoidal intake grille on the front face and a black grid design on the interior, together with the LED headlights on both sides, which further improves the recognition of the front face. On the side of the body, the new car adopts the design of suspended roof, its D column is hidden, and the upper and lower edges of the windows are decorated with chrome strips. In the rear part, the black trim panel in the middle is connected to the headlamp groups on both sides to make it look similar to the through-through design. In terms of size, the length, width and height of the new car are 5127/2005/1767mm and wheelbase 2900mm respectively, which is not lengthened compared with overseas models, but the size is slightly adjusted.

In terms of interior decoration, Dongfeng Infiniti QX60 basically continues the overseas version of the design, using a new three-format steering wheel, equipped with 12.3in suspension display screen and 12.3inch InTouch interactive display screen and dynamic instrument, and equipped with 10.8inch head-up display system. The central control area tilts slightly to the driver's side as a whole, which is more convenient for daily operation. In terms of configuration, the new generation of QX60 domestic version of the whole series of standard equipment includes reversing radar, reversing image, constant speed cruise, panoramic skylight, electric rear door, whole vehicle keyless entry / keyless start, driving recorder, active noise reduction, AR live enhanced navigation and so on.

Infiniti, a luxury brand owned by Nissan, was born in North America in 1989 and officially launched in China in 2007. In August 2014, Dongfeng Infiniti Automobile Co., Ltd. was established, which means that Infiniti has officially achieved domestic production, and this year is the seventh year of Infiniti localization. However, after the realization of localization, Infiniti did not develop as fast as expected. up to now, Infiniti has only three domestic models, Q50L, QX50 and QX60, which are on sale, the pace of product renewal is slow, and the speed of model introduction and update lags behind that of other luxury brands. According to data disclosed by Dongfeng Automobile Group, Dongfeng Infiniti sales from 2016 to 2019 were 26131, 27766, 28868 and 35035 respectively, down 26.66% from the same period last year to 25695 in 2020 and 66.15% to 8697 in 2021. It is not difficult to see from the data that although Dongfeng Infiniti has maintained its growth before 2020, it has not been able to achieve a major breakthrough. It has launched only two domestic models in the six years since it entered China. Brand influence, product competitiveness and brand service are far inferior to the same level of luxury brands, or even hovering on the edge of the luxury market.

To this end, Dongfeng Infiniti achieved reform. Dongfeng Motor Co., Ltd. announced that it will bring Dongfeng Infiniti as an independent business headquarters into the management system of Dongfeng Nissan, together with Nissan and Qichen brands, Infiniti will become the third brand of Dongfeng Nissan. This also means that Dongfeng Infiniti will no longer be the independent division of Dongfeng Motor Co., Ltd., but will become the third brand under Dongfeng Nissan, and Dongfeng Nissan will have three brands: Nissan, Qichen and Infiniti.

After Dongfeng Infiniti becomes Dongfeng Nissan brand, what kind of development it will usher in is also what we look forward to. Dongfeng Infiniti insiders said, "Infiniti returned to the Dongfeng Nissan system, is due to many reasons." On the one hand, the market in China is small, and if it continues to operate as an independent joint venture, the cost is too high; second, it is also related to Nissan's global strategic adjustment.

As for whether QX60 can save Dongfeng Infiniti's market predicament? Price and brand are the decisive factors for consumers to buy a car. As a luxurious medium and large SUV, Infiniti QX60 competitors include Cadillac XT6, Lincoln Flider and Lexus RX. In addition, the BMW X5 will also be domestically produced and listed this year. Obviously, the domestic luxury brands in the large-scale SUV market segment will usher in a new pattern, but whether it is the brand or product power, QX60 does not seem to have much advantage.
