It is understood that after the car has been changed from imported to domestic, its wheelbase has been extended from 130mm to 3105mm, and the power will provide two kinds of power: xDrive 30 Li with 2.0T engine and xDrive 40 Li with 3.0T engine. BMW Group said that the new BMW X5 officially entered the countdown to listing.

The brilliance BMW X5, which has completed its declaration at the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, is expected to make its debut at the Beijing Auto Show in April and go public in the first half of the year. According to the declaration chart, the design of the domestic BMW X5 is consistent with that of the overseas version, and there is not much difference in shape as a whole. It retains the classic body proportion of the SAV model, uses a larger double kidney intake grille and retains the classic angel eye headlamp design, while the front enclosure still uses a three-part styling design. In the rear part of the car, the new car taillight adopts a black design, and the rear is surrounded by a silver rear diffuser decoration and two-sided exhaust layout.

The biggest difference between domestic and imported is the size of the car body. As a domestic model, brilliance BMW X5 will fully lengthen the body size, length, width and height are 5060/2004/1779mm, wheelbase 3105mm. As a reference, the length, width and height of the imported BMW X5 are 4930/2004/1776mm and the wheelbase is 2975mm. Brilliance BMW X5 also surpasses the competitive Mercedes-Benz GLE from body length and wheelbase, and its wheelbase even reaches the level of imported BMW X7.

In terms of interior decoration, according to the official picture, the brilliance BMW X5 also continues the design of the imported BMW X5. The shape and layout of the 12.3-inch central control screen and full liquid crystal meter, three-spoke steering wheel, air conditioning control area and block area are basically the same as imported models. Due to the further increase in size, the brilliance BMW X5 will bring more space in the back row.

In terms of power, the new car will be equipped with 2.0T turbocharged four-cylinder engine and 3.0T turbocharged in-line six-cylinder engine, with a maximum power of 272 horsepower and 370 horsepower respectively, and the transmission system will still match the eight-speed manual transmission. According to the application information, the domestic BMW X5 long wheelbase model will provide two power levels of xDrive30Li and xDrive40Li, of which the xDrive30Li carries 2.0T four-cylinder engine (B48B20G), which is produced by BMW brilliance, and the xDrive40Li carries 3.0T in-line six-cylinder engine (B58B30C), which is produced by BMW AG, that is, this engine is supplied through import.

The BMW X5 is a medium-and large-sized SUV owned by the BMW Group. Currently, the imported BMW X5 sells for between 69.99 and 863900 yuan in China. As we all know, the price of imported models is relatively high, because consumption tax, import duty, emission tax and so on all need to be paid by consumers, while the BMW X5 made domestically means that it will lower the threshold for consumers to buy cars.

As for the final price definition of brilliance BMW X5, brilliance BMW currently has three SUV models: X1, X2 and X3, of which the official guidance price of X1 is 27.98-339800 yuan, and the official guidance price of X3 is 39.28-479800 yuan. It is expected that the price of X5 will be more than 100000 yuan more than X3, that is, in the range of 50-600000 yuan. Prior to this, an internal price list for the brilliance BMW X5 was circulated on the Internet, in which 2.0T will launch two models, the leading version and the deluxe version will be priced at 558000 yuan and 618000 yuan respectively, and the 3.0T will launch two models. The deluxe version and the premium version are priced at 668000 yuan and 758000 yuan respectively. However, although BMW Group denies the information, it is certain that the price of domestic models will be lower than that of imported cars, and even if it is officially denied, it can also be used as a reference.

Brilliance BMW sold 89083 vehicles in January 2022, up 20.4% from a year earlier, according to the Federation of passengers. In terms of specific models, the BMW 3-Series is the highest-selling model, with 24396 vehicles, the BMW 5-Series 22608 and the BMW X3 17811. In addition, the BMW X1 is 12349. As for the upcoming domestic BMW X5, it will be the first domestic medium and large SUV to be realized by the BBA camp, targeting Mercedes-Benz GLE and Audi Q7, which have no further domestic news at present. Of course, as a medium and large SUV, the market performance of BMW X5 is relatively limited, while the high price means limited consumer groups, limited contribution to BMW brand sales, more to assume the role of perfect product camp, but also the role of seizing the front-line medium and large SUV market.
