It is understood that the new car has added a distinguished long-lasting version of the model on the basis of 2021 models. In terms of appearance, the front face of the new car still uses a closed grille shape, which is different from the current model. The new car optimizes the areas around the front and the fog lights on both sides of the front bumper. The fog light area at both ends of the front bumper of the new car adopts the latest design, which is equipped with L-type daytime driving lights on both sides, which makes the whole car look more athletic. The side part of the body and the rear part of the car, the new car is basically consistent with the cash model. The difference is that there is a chrome strip running through the center of the rear of the new car. In terms of body size, the length, width and height of Guangzhou Auto Toyota iA5 is 4818/1880/1530mm, and the wheelbase of the body is 2750mm. Compared with the current model, the length of the new car has increased by 26mm compared with the current model, making it the largest pure electric car in the same class.

In the interior part, the new car is equipped with a 12.3in central control screen, a 12.3in screen full liquid crystal combination instrument and a suspended double screen interior AI interactive system.

In terms of power, the new car has a maximum power of 150kW and a peak torque of 350Nm, which has lower parameters compared with the current model's 135kW motor. in addition, the new car is still equipped with a ternary lithium battery pack, and officials say the NEDC has a range of 510km, of which the new long-lasting version of the NEDC has a range of 580km.

Combined with the above price and configuration, the price difference of the new car entry leading version compared with the low-end luxury version is 10, 000 yuan, it is understood that the configuration difference mainly lies in panoramic skylight, front door soundproof glass, exterior rearview mirror electric folding / locking car folding, leather steering wheel, driver's seat 6-way electric adjustment, four-door window one-button lift, dual-zone automatic air conditioning, PM2.5 sensor, 12.3in full LCD dashboard and so on.

Data show that the iA5 model is GAC Toyota's first pure electric car, positioning compact pure electric car, in 2019 at the Chengdu auto show officially listed. As GAC Toyota's first pure electric vehicle, but its overall shape is basically the same as GAC EAN S, the car only changes in the headlights and taillights and other parts, and the front and rear of the car is also GAC Ean car logo, so it can be said that GAC Toyota is based on the Aion S model.

According to relevant data, GAC Toyota iA5 sold only 4004 vehicles in the past year and 6828 in 2020. Although this car is the first pure electric vehicle under GAC Toyota, its market sales after listing are not ideal. It is understood that GAC Toyota iA5 model only accounts for 0.47% share in GAC Toyota family and 0.04% share in the domestic car market. It accounts for 0.07% of the compact car market, so it can be seen that the car model does not have a high sense of existence in the GAC Toyota family, and it can even be ignored in the domestic car market. Figures show that Guangzhou Auto Toyota sold only 91 iA5 models in January.
