Data show that in February this year, five domestic manufacturers sold more than 10,000 vehicles, an increase of two over the same period. BYD 87473, Tesla China 56515, SAIC GM Wuling 26046, Geely 14285, Chery 10271. Data show that BYD, Chery, Geely, SAIC Volkswagen and so on grew 5-7 times year on year in February last year.

In the latest data released by the Federation of passengers, the sales data of BYD and Tesla are more eye-catching. As the leader of new energy vehicles in China, BYD sold 92926 new energy vehicles in January and surpassed SAIC-Volkswagen for the first time in February with sales of 87473 vehicles. Compared with the new forces of car building, BYD's sales of new energy vehicles in February far surpassed the sum of Wei Xiaoli, the new forces of car building. In February this year, Xilai sold 6131 cars that month; Xiaopeng sold 6225 cars that month; ideal cars sold 8414 vehicles that month, while Wei Xiaoli sold a total of 20770 vehicles.

In addition, Tesla China sold 56515 vehicles wholesale in February, down 5.56% from the previous month, but this is the sixth consecutive month that Tesla China has sold more than 50, 000 vehicles.

On January 3 this year, Tesla released its annual sales figures for 2021. According to previous reports from the auto industry, Tesla delivered a total of 936172 new cars worldwide in 2021, up 87 per cent from 499647 the previous year. In terms of specific months, Tesla China sold more than 50, 000 vehicles for five consecutive months from September 2021 to January 2022. Tesla's monthly sales from September 2021 to January 2022 were 56006, 54391, 52859, 70847 and 59845 respectively.

In terms of specific models, Tesla Model 3 and Model Y are both domestic sales models of Tesla. In the past 2021, Tesla Model 3 delivered 150890 new cars in the Chinese market, and Tesla Model Y delivered 169853 new cars. However, it is worth mentioning that the automotive industry has learned from Tesla's Chinese official website that at present, the delivery time of the entire Model 3 series is expected to be 16-20 weeks (about 4-5 months); the long-lasting version of Model Y is expected to be delivered in 16-20 weeks; Model Y rear wheel drive is expected to be delivered in 10-14 weeks; and the Model Y high-performance version is expected to be delivered in 12-16 weeks. According to the delivery time announced on Tesla's official website, taking Tesla Model 3 as an example, the next order to pick up the car is in August at the latest. Fortunately, Tesla is speeding up the commissioning of the factory at present.

It is understood that Tesla's Berlin factory was approved on March 4. according to Tesla's previous estimate, Tesla's Berlin factory was originally put into production at the end of last year, but now the factory is also close to mass production. After Tesla's Berlin super factory is put into production, its Model Y will be supplied to the European market in large quantities. With the Berlin factory put into production, Tesla's competitiveness in the European market will further increase. The mass production schedule of Tesla's Berlin factory needs to be further confirmed.

The auto industry has previously reported that in 2021, Tesla Shanghai Super Factory delivered 484000 vehicles, an increase of 235% over the same period last year, accounting for 51.7% of Tesla's total global delivery volume, making Tesla the first single market in the world. Prior to this, Cui Dongshu, secretary general of the Federation of passengers, said, "due to the positioning of the Shanghai Super Factory as Tesla's main automobile export center, the world competitiveness of new energy vehicles made in China has been further enhanced. The catfish effect of Tesla's price reduction is a huge boost to the development of the car market. " And this is also a two-way trip between Tesla and China.

For this year's delivery, Tesla said that it relies on two established factories in Fremont and Shanghai to increase the delivery volume to 50% in 2022. According to Tesla, the Fremont plant has a capacity of 600000 vehicles, including 500000 vehicles of the Model 3gamy, while the Shanghai plant has a production capacity of 450000 vehicles.
