It is understood that BMW and Albina signed a renewal agreement at the end of 2020, and the cooperation between the two sides will continue to end on December 31, 2025. Before the deadline, Albina Motor will continue to develop and produce at the Bhrohe plant in Germany. BMW will also support Albina by revamping the plant in the next few years, and BMW will officially take full control of Albina by 2026.

In fact, the two sides have been working together since 1965 for 57 years. The close cooperation between BMW and Albina began with a car race, but there was no affiliation between the two sides before. Before BMW Group acquired the Albina brand, Albina was known as a brand that modified high-performance BMW. The automotive industry is concerned about access to information. Albina, founded in 1965, is an automobile manufacturing company based in Bavaria. The company is considered to be a retrofit plant for BMW models, but unlike ordinary refitting plants, Albina will affix its own logo on the modified products. So far, the company can modify almost all BMW products, including 3 series, 5 series, 7 series, 6 series and Z4, etc. The Internet describes this as "almost everything changes".

At present, the models on sale in Albina are based on modified models made by BMW 3-Series, 5-Series, 7-Series, 8-Series, X3, X4 and X7, and the engine, gearbox, chassis and aerodynamic design of the original model have been greatly changed. the vehicle performance has been greatly improved. in terms of sales, relevant data show that the past 2021 has been a good year in the history of Albina, while a large number of new orders have been received. It has delivered more than 2000 vehicles worldwide. Data show that Germany, Europe, Japan, the United States and the Middle East are all important sales markets for Albina. In addition, in October 2016, Albina announced its entry into the Chinese market and introduced the Albina B4 BITURBO based on the F324 series at a price of 1.1 million. The car is sold in three BMW 4S stores in Beijing, Shanghai and Shenzhen, but due to low brand awareness and low-key appearance of the car. The model is not very popular in the Chinese market.

So far, BMW's products include 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, X, M, Z, I and other series. Among them, 1 series is small car, 2 series is small car, 3 series is medium car, 4 series is medium car (including convertible), 5 series is medium and large car, 6 series is medium and large sedan (including convertible), 7 series is luxury D class car, 8 series is luxury coupe, I series is BMW electric car and hybrid series, M is the high performance and sports car version of BMW. The X-Series is BMW's specific SUV (sports utility vehicle) series, and the BMW Z-Series is BMW's entry-level sports car. In terms of sales, according to the latest data released by BMW Group on March 11, BMW Group delivered a total of 2.5215 million new vehicles worldwide in 2021, an increase of 8.4% over the same period last year, of which new energy vehicles accounted for 13% of Prida, 328300 vehicles. In addition, BMW Group's total revenue was 111.239 billion euros, up 12.4 percent from the same period last year, and its net profit was 12.463 billion euros, up 223.1 percent from the same period last year. Among them, the annual revenue of BMW Group's automobile business in 2021 was 95.476 billion euros, an increase of 18.1% over the same period last year.

In terms of new car sales delivered by BMW Group in 2021, BMW Group overtook Mercedes-Benz Group in 2021 (Mercedes-Benz delivered a total of 2.05 million vehicles worldwide in 2021, down 5 per cent) to become the world leader in luxury car sales. this is also the first time that BMW has overtaken Mercedes-Benz in the global market since 2016. However, in terms of the domestic market, the gap between Mercedes-Benz and BMW has widened, with figures showing that BMW sold 846000 vehicles (including the MINI brand) in China in 2021, up 8.9 per cent from a year earlier, while Mercedes-Benz sold 759000 vehicles in China, down 2 per cent from a year earlier.

At present, BMW is in the stage of electric transformation. according to the plan, the BMW Group will enter the third stage of transformation after 2025, when the total number of internal combustion engine models will be gradually reduced and the product array will be completely adjusted. Earlier, it was reported that the BMW Group's BMW iX5 Hydrogen hydrogen fuel cell vehicle was tested for extreme cold endurance at the winter test center in Alyeplug, Sweden. Small-scale production is expected in the second half of 2022. By 2030, BMW Group's pure electric models will account for at least 50% of total deliveries, global cumulative delivery will reach about 10 million pure electric vehicles, and all MINI models will be purely electric by the beginning of 2030.
