It is understood that the new car provides a total of two models, respectively, a rechargeable version and a replacement version of the model, with a range of 431 km.

The new car is a pure electric medium-sized sedan built for the Hongqi brand. FAW Hongqi launched Red Flag E-QM5 on June 22 last year. The car has launched three models, including flag-sharing version, Didi version and T3 version, with a price of 239800 yuan. However, the car is only for high-end online car-hailing market, not for individual sales. After the launch of the 2022 FAW Red Flag E-QM5, it is for the personal market. Compared with the previous Red Flag E-QM5, the 2022 FAW Red Flag E-QM5 has a new five-seat version and is cheaper.

In terms of appearance, the 2022 FAW Red Flag E-QM5 basically extends the design features of the Red Flag E pure EMU system, with a closed intake grille on the front face, a number of vertical chrome plating decoration strips on the inside, and a unique split headlamp group on both sides, which makes the whole front face look very individual. The side lines of the body are relatively smooth, with a waistline running through the entire side. in addition, the size of the rear door of the new car is larger than that of the front door. In the rear part, the L-shaped taillights of the new car not only highlight the red flag Chinese logo, but also highly recognizable. In terms of body color, the new car has extreme Night Black, Arctic White, Platinum and Platinum Black Top, with four colors to choose from. In terms of body size, the biggest highlight of the new car is that the length is more than 5 meters, the length, width and height of the new car are 5040mm/1910mm/1569mm, the wheelbase is 2990mm, and the body size is between Red Flag H5 and Red Flag H7, but the wheelbase reaches 2990mm which exceeds the wheelbase of Hongqi H72970mm. The new car is positioned as a pure electric medium-sized car.

In the interior part, the overall layout of the new car is relatively simple, and the new car is equipped with a three-frame multi-function steering wheel, an electronic grip, a 10-inch suspended central control screen and a dashboard with mechanical pointers and LCD screen shape.

In terms of power, the new car still continues the powertrain of the previous model, in which the rechargeable version of the new car is equipped with a front motor with maximum power of 140kw, a lithium iron phosphate 54kWh battery pack, a NEDC range of 430km and an official charge of about 30 minutes from 20% to 80%. The replacement version is equipped with a front motor with a maximum power of 100kw, a 56kH ternary lithium battery pack and a NEDC mileage of 430km.

According to the concern of the automobile industry, according to the previous plan of FAW Red Flag, E in the model name represents pure electric, Q represents Red Flag Q series, M represents travel field, and 5 represents B-class products. At present, FAW Hongqi models include the car family composed of E-QM5, H5, H7 and H9, and the SUV family composed of HS5, HS7, E-HS3 and E-HS9.

In terms of sales volume, FAW Hongqi's main models are HS5, H5 and H9, with cumulative sales of 129632, 82168 and 33658 respectively in 2021. From January to February this year, FAW Red Flag accumulated sales of 63800 vehicles, an increase of 40% over the same period last year. In these two months, the best selling models of FAW Red Flag cars are still Red Flag HS5 and Red Flag H5 HS5, with cumulative sales of 25385 vehicles from January to February, and 18197 vehicles from Red Flag H5. As for FAW Red Flag E-QM5, in the past, it only aimed at the high-end online car-hailing market, not for individual sales. In the past year, the cumulative sales of Red Flag E-QM5 vehicles was 7524, and the sales from January to February this year was only 1130. The sale of Red Flag E-QM5 to the personal market means that Red Flag has the opportunity to fill the gap in the pure electric car market, and the final sales have yet to be verified by the market.
