The new car, which is called GRANVIA in English and has not yet been released in Chinese, will be produced by FAW Toyota. In addition to the regular version, the new car, like Sina, will also launch a well-being version. The new car has entered the stage of mass production and is expected to go on sale in September.

FAW Toyota GRANVIA is based on the American version of Toyota SIENNA XSE sports version, and is also a sister model of Guangzhou Auto Toyota Sena. As the sister car of GAC Toyota Sena, the design of the new car is highly similar to that of Sina, with the main difference in the front face. In the front face, the headlight group of the new car is connected with the front closed grille to form an integrated design. The new car also changes the interior of the large trapezoidal grille below to black honeycomb structure decoration, and there are vents on both sides of the bumper. The whole looks younger and sporty. The side and rear of the car are basically the same as Sina. In the body part, the lower part of the rear part of the new car also adopts a honeycomb design, which echoes with the front face, and there is a chic taillight group on both sides. In addition, the English letter logo of "GRANVIA" is added to the rear logo to improve the recognition of the whole car.

In terms of body size, the length, width and height of the new car are 5175, 1995 and 1785 mm respectively (1765 for the unroofed luggage rack), 3060mm for wheelbase and medium and large MPV for positioning. As a contrast, the length, width and height of Guangzhou Automobile Toyota Sina are 5165/1995/1765mm, and the wheelbase is 3060mm. By contrast, the length of the new car has been lengthened by 10mm.

According to the application chart, the new car will have optional 18-inch and 20-inch rims, as well as a 360-degree panoramic camera, double skylights, luggage rack, HUD head display, rain sensor wipers and other practical configurations. The interior part, the official has not yet released the relevant information, in terms of seat layout, the new car uses a 2-2-3 seven-seat layout.

In terms of power, the new car is also consistent with the Sena model. The new car will be equipped with a 2.5L THS hybrid system, which is composed of a 2.5L naturally aspirated engine and an electric motor. In terms of transmission, it will be matched by an E-CVT stepless transmission with a maximum power of 183kW.

As a sister car of FAW Toyota GRANVIA, Guangzhou Auto Toyota Senna went on sale on October 30, 2011. a total of six new models were launched, all equipped with 2.5L gas-electric hybrid system.

Since its listing, Sina has become the focus of everyone's attention because of the rumors of a price increase. according to previous reports from the automobile industry, it has been reported on the Internet that there will be a price increase of 60, 000 before the listing of Toyota Saina. after listing, driven by dealers, it was once widely rumored that the entry-level version needed to raise the price to more than 400000. The latest figures show that Toyota sold 4329 and 4120 cars in the first two months of this year, respectively. As far as the current MPV field is concerned, the better sales performance includes Buick GL8, Chuanqi M8, Wuling Capgemini, Honda Odyssey / Ericsson and other models. According to the 2021 MPV sales list, Buick GL8 sold 161300 vehicles, Chuanqi M8 66000 and Wuling Capgemini 63000.

At present, FAW Toyota has not announced the vehicle price of GRANVIA. As a comparison, the price of GFAW Toyota Sena is between 30.98 and 405800 yuan. Generally speaking, FAW Toyota GRANVIA may be slightly higher than Guangzhou FAW Toyota Sena, and it is expected that the starting price of new cars may be set at 330000 yuan.
