However, since 2018, its sales have suddenly plummeted to 45405, with only 17642 sold in 2019, 25027 in 2020 and 34345 in 2021. However, Honda Accord, Toyota Camry, Volkswagen Maiteng and Nissan Teana all sell more than 100000 vehicles a year, while Mondeo is less than a fraction of the above models.

According to data released by Changan Automobile, Changan Ford sold 304600 vehicles in 2021, an increase of 20.29 percent over the same period last year, which is a rare thing for Changan Ford. After all, this is Changan Ford's first year-on-year growth since its sales plunged nearly one million in 2016. However, the growth of Changan Ford is largely due to the growth of Changan Lincoln. According to the insurance figures, Changan Ford sold 204084 vehicles in 2021, up 1.14% from the same period last year, and Changan Lincoln sold 82531 vehicles, up 110.76% from the same period last year. In other words, if you rely solely on the Ford brand, Changan Ford's performance in 2021 is not bright.

It is understood that in addition to the new Mondeo, the Fox with a four-cylinder engine and a new generation of explorers will go on sale in the second quarter of 2022, while the new generation of Ruijie will be available in the fourth quarter of 2022. These are Changan Ford's blockbuster products. Take Fox as an example, Changan Ford introduced the European version of Fox into the domestic market in 2005 and launched hatchback and hatchback models with 1.8L and 2.0L engines.
