AutoBeta(AutoBeta.net)03/19 Report--
On March 18, luxury car brand Porsche released its 2021 financial report data, showing that Porsche's operating revenue in 2021 was 33.1 billion euros (about 232.7592 billion yuan), up 4.4 billion euros from 28.7 billion euros in 2020, up 15% year-on-year. In terms of profit, sales profit in 2021 was € 5.3 billion, an increase of € 1.1 billion or 27% from € 4.2 billion in 2020. In terms of vehicle sales, Porsche sold 301915 vehicles worldwide in 2021, up 11% from 272162 in 2020, marking the first time Porsche sold more than 300,000 vehicles annually.
Due to factors such as Xinguan epidemic situation and global chip supply shortage, since 2020, the global automobile industry has been generally trapped in the supply chain crisis, and the production capacity of all automobile enterprises has been lost to varying degrees. According to relevant data, 11.31 million vehicles will be reduced globally in 2021, with a decrease of 14.6%. In this environment, Porsche can still achieve rapid growth without the contribution of the Chinese market. In 2021, Porsche's cumulative sales volume in China was 95671 vehicles, up 8% year-on-year, becoming Porsche's largest single market in the world for the seventh consecutive year, accounting for 32% of global market sales. According to the attention of the automobile industry, the cumulative sales volume of Porsche in China in 2017 was 71,500 units; 80,100 units in 2018; 86,700 units in 2019; and 89,000 units in 202. Lutz Meschke, vice chairman of Porsche's global executive board, said of Porsche's sales performance in China in 2021:"China is one of Porsche's most important strategic markets, not only because of its outstanding sales figures, but also because of its excellent performance and broad space for digitalization and innovation."
Looking back on Porsche's market layout in China over the past year or two, Porsche is increasing its investment in the Chinese market. In January last year, the former Porsche China Digital Division became an independently operated company-Porsche (Shanghai) Digital Technology Co., Ltd., and Porsche recently established a new R & D branch in China to supplement the existing digital business in China. Oliver Blume, Chairman of Porsche's Global Executive Board, said that many emerging technologies originally came from China and were gradually applied to other markets around the world, so China will become a very important innovation experimental base for Porsche.
According to public information, Porsche is a world-famous luxury car brand owned by Volkswagen of Germany. 911,718 (including Boxster and Cayman), Panamera, Cayenne and Macan are all its models. Among them, the cumulative sales volume of Macan and Cayenne models in 2021 is 88362 and 83071 respectively, becoming Porsche's best-selling models. In addition, Porsche's first all-electric sports car Taycan will deliver 41296 vehicles worldwide in 2021.
On February 23, Volkswagen made it clear that Porsche would go public independently, and Porsche would become Europe's largest IPO after its independent listing, with Porsche expected to complete its IPO as soon as the fourth quarter of 2022. Porsche, one of Volkswagen Group's many sub-brands and Volkswagen's most profitable brand, has achieved pre-tax earnings of 3.4 billion euros in the first three quarters of 2021, accounting for about 34% of Volkswagen Group's overall automotive division profit, according to relevant data. With the arrival of Porsche's independent launch, Porsche will also accelerate the launch of electric products. At present, Porsche China has introduced 16 pure electric and plug-in hybrid models. In 2021, Porsche electrified models accounted for 18% of the delivery volume in China, with a growth rate of 8%, among which the first pure electric sports car Taycan sold 7315 vehicles in China in 2021. According to the plan, the Taycan GTS and Taycan Cross Turismo will debut in Asia at the 2022 Beijing International Auto Show and launch pre-sale, when Porsche's lineup of new energy models in China will expand to 21 models, while Porsche will launch its second pure electric vehicle-pure electric Macan in 2023; Sales of Porsche new energy models will account for 50% in 2025; Sales of new energy models will account for more than 80% in 2030.
Porsche has not announced its 2022 sales target so far, and Porsche said it was too early to predict any 2022 delivery and business figures given the current global situation.
