According to the press conference on the prevention and control of the epidemic situation of COVID-19 in Shenyang, as of 24:00 on March 21, a total of 241 local positive infections had been found in Shenyang, including 94 confirmed cases and 147asymptomatic infections. In addition, on March 16, the relevant media reported that Tesla issued a notice to internal employees and suppliers that due to the COVID-19 epidemic, the Shanghai Super Factory was shut down for two days from March 16 to 17. In response, the relevant person in charge of Tesla said that he would actively cooperate with the government's requirements for epidemic prevention such as nucleic acid testing, while doing his best to ensure production. Tesla's Shanghai plant resumed production on March 18, and Tesla did not explain the production losses caused by the shutdown.

Due to the parts supply chain crisis, the production and operation of many domestic car companies have become more and more difficult. According to the latest data from AutoForecast Solutions, a forecasting company for the automobile industry, as of March 20, due to a shortage of chips, the global automobile market has reduced production by 1.158 million vehicles this year.
