According to Dongfeng Honda official news, Dongfeng Honda's compact sedan, the new car, will go on sale tomorrow, with a price range of between 99800 yuan and 166900 yuan.

From the official map and previous declaration information, the new car as a medium-term modified model, the new car has been upgraded and adjusted for appearance and interior decoration, while the power remains unchanged.

In terms of appearance, the new car adopts the new Honda family design style, the front face, the front grille and front bar of the new car are optimized, the bottom of the trapezoidal intake grille removes the chrome-plated decorative strip at the bottom of the trapezoidal intake grille while the interior is decorated with a blackened horizontal structure, with LED headlights on both sides, making the whole car more athletic. The surrounding part of the new car still adopts a three-stage design style, but the size of the diversion grooves on both sides has increased, with integrated fog lights inside and trapezoidal air intake design in the middle. In addition, the new car is also equipped with a new style of double five rims, which looks more majestic. On the side of the body, there is little change in the new car, the roof is visually a slip-back shape, and the waistline is a penetrating design, which effectively enhances the hierarchical sense of the whole car. In the rear part, the design of the rear lights of the new car is relatively novel, the new car taillights provide both sides of the "C" type LED taillights and adopt hidden exhaust layout, in addition, the optimized rear bumper shape is also wider and lower than the old model in visual effect.

In terms of body size, the length, width and height of the new car are 4772/1804/1509mm, wheelbase is 2730mm, positioning compact car. Compared with the old model, the length of the new car is more than the 16mm, and the size of the new car is similar to that of the new Volkswagen Lanya. As a comparison, the length, width and height of the Volkswagen Longyi are 4678/1806/1474mm and the wheelbase is 2688mm.

The interior part has not yet been officially announced, but the interior part is also expected to be upgraded, and the new car is expected to be equipped with a three-spoke multi-function steering wheel, liquid crystal dashboard, built-in central control screen and mechanical handle.

In terms of power, the new car remains the same as the old model, and it is expected that the new car will continue to offer fuel version and hybrid version. In terms of market competition, the new car will compete with Nissan Xuanyi, Volkswagen Langyi, Bora and other models after its launch.

Over the past year, Honda has sold 35489 vehicles, compared with 4068 in the first two months of this year, including 2815 in January and 1253 in February. As a reference, Nissan Xuanyi sold 512128 vehicles in 2021, Volkswagen Longyi sold 428621 vehicles in 2021, and Bora sold 2550762 vehicles in 2021.

According to the attention of the automobile industry, Honda currently has four models in the compact car market: Civic, styling, Lingpai and Happy, of which the best sales are Civic, with a cumulative sales of 23437 from January to February this year; followed by styled models, with a cumulative sales of 10909 from January to February; and 6680 and 4068 from January to February, respectively. From the sales data, the performance of Dongfeng Honda shared domain models in compact cars is relatively general, as for the future performance of the new shared domain models after the launch, it is still unknown.

Affected by the epidemic and supply chain shortages, Honda sold a total of 1.5322 million vehicles in China in 2021. However, this year, Dongfeng Honda will launch a number of blockbuster models. In addition to the new domains mentioned above, Dongfeng Honda will also launch models including a new Civic hybrid version, a new Civic HATCHBACK, a new generation XR-V, a new generation CR-V, a new pure electric e:NS1 and a new SUV. The CR-V and XR-V are both best-selling models of Dongfeng Honda, and the launch of these new cars may boost Dongfeng Honda's sales performance to some extent, so it is not difficult for Honda to pick up sales in China in 2022. The latest figures show that Honda sold 252725 terminal cars in China from January to February this year.
