The net profit belonging to shareholders of listed companies was about 6.726 billion yuan, up 25.43 percent over the same period last year. As for the main reason for the year-on-year increase in net profit attributed to the company's shareholders during the reporting period, Great Wall explained that it was "mainly due to an increase in vehicle sales".

According to relevant data, the cumulative sales of Great Wall Motor in 2021 was 1280993 vehicles, an increase of 15.2% over the same period last year. In terms of specific models, the most important sales of Great Wall in 2021 came from the Harvard brand, with cumulative sales of 770008 vehicles, an increase of 2.64% over the same period last year, accounting for more than 60% of the total sales of Great Wall Motors. The Euler brand is the biggest growth brand under Great Wall, with annual sales of 135028 vehicles, up 140% from the same period last year, while the tank brand, which became independent only last year, also sold 84588 vehicles. However, WEY, which is positioned as a high-end brand, became the only declining brand under Great Wall, with cumulative full-year sales of 58363 vehicles, down 25.65 per cent from a year earlier.

According to the data, Great Wall Automobile, founded in 2001, is a well-known self-brand car company in China, with five different sub-brands, including Harvard, Wei, Tank, Euler and Great Wall gun truck series. In terms of power, the new car is equipped with 3.0T V6 engine and 9AT gearbox independently developed by the Great Wall for the first time, with maximum power 260kw. The maximum torque is 500N ·m / 1500-4500rpm, which is the first model under Great Wall to use 3.0T+9AT. In the future, tank brands will also launch new models such as tank 400, tank 700 and tank 800 one after another.

On the whole, Great Wall still achieved good growth against the background of lack of cores throughout the year, but reviewing its previous annual sales target of 1.49 million vehicles in 2021, Great Wall did not achieve this goal as scheduled. For the 2022 annual sales plan, Great Wall has set a sales target of 1.9 million vehicles for 2022. Industry insiders believe that the strength of Great Wall to set this goal mainly comes from a number of high-performing models. Including Harvard H6, tank 300, Ola good cat, Great Wall gun pickup and so on. At present, Harvard Divine Beast, Wei Brand "Coffee three Brothers" and Tank 500 are all on the market. According to the plan, Great Wall will launch a number of models this year, of which the tank brand will launch its third model, the Tank 700; the Harvard brand will launch at least 2 or 3 new models, including KuGou; the Wei brand will launch retro SUV dream and Wei brand MPV models; and the Eula brand plans to launch ballet cats, lightning cats, punk cats and other models. However, it remains to be seen whether the launch of new models will help Great Wall achieve year-on-year growth of more than 48 per cent in 2022 and meet its sales target of 1.9 million vehicles.

According to the latest figures, Great Wall's cumulative sales from January to February in 2022 were 182000, down 20.2 per cent from a year earlier. As for the reasons for the decline in sales, Great Wall officials said that due to the Spring Festival, Bosch ESP supply shortage and other factors in February, Great Wall limited production capacity and problems in the supply of parts.
