On February 15 this year, Qin Lihong revealed that a new car will be released in April this year and delivered within this year. The model named ES7,ES7 will be built on the platform of NT2.0 technology. The level of intelligence is consistent with that of ET5 and ET7, and its positioning is between ES6 and ES8. It mainly hits a large-scale five-seat pure electric SUV, and the starting price of the vehicle may be more than 400000. At that time, Qin Lihong revealed that it was between ES6 and ES8. "our delivery target for this year is determined by the supply chain. Production capacity will increase this year and deliver as much as we can," he said.

In terms of appearance, according to the espionage photos previously exposed, the new car will use the latest family design language, and the front face is similar to the ET7 model. Specifically, the long daytime driving lights on both sides of the front of the new car, with the longitudinal arrangement of the far and near lights at the bottom, make the whole highly recognizable. In addition, the position of the charging port of the new car is adjusted to the left side of the body, with a lidar and two high-level cameras above the front windshield, which is consistent with the ET7 and ET5 models. On the side of the body, the new car adopts a suspension design, and the roof line extends down from the B column to the rear. In addition, the new car is also equipped with five-spoke blackening rims and blackening the window frame and roof luggage rack, so the overall shape is more dynamic. In the rear part, the new car is expected to adopt a slippery back design, with a newly designed taillight set and rear surround assembly and equipped with a roof spoiler.

The final shape of the ES7 is not clear, but according to Qin Lihong, the ES7 will be calibrated with the long wheelbase version of the BMW X5.

In terms of body size, as the size of the new car is between ES6 and ES8, it is expected that the body length of the new car will be about 5 meters and the wheelbase will be about 3 meters. For comparison, the length, width and height of the ES6 are 4850/1965/1758mm and the wheelbase is 2900mm, while the length, width and height of the ES8 are 5022mm/1962mm/1756mm and the wheelbase is 3010mm.

On the power side, given that the new car, like the ET7 model, is based on the NT2.0 platform, the power parameters of the new car are expected to be the same as those of the ET7 model. In addition, industry insiders say that the power parameters of ES7 are expected to be better than those of Tesla Model X (except for the three-motor version).

This year, Xilai will build three models based on the NT2.0 technology platform, including the aforementioned ES7, ET5 and ET7. Among them, ET7, the first electric car of Lulai's flagship, began delivery on March 28th. The new car has launched a total of three configuration models, positioning medium and large sedans, which is the fourth mass production model after the ES8, ES6 and EC6. The subsidized price range is 43.666-513400 yuan, which will compete with BMW 7-Series and other large cars after listing. The ET5 model is the second car owned by Ulai, and the new car will launch two versions, 75kWh and 100kWh, with a price of 328000 yuan and 386000 yuan respectively before the subsidy, positioning a medium-sized luxury sedan, lower than ET7, and is expected to be officially delivered in September 2022. After launch, it will compete with Tesla Model 3, Xiaopeng P7 and ZEEKR 001 models.

Up to now, there are three models on sale in Xilai, namely ES6, ES8 and EC6, of which the ES6 price of positioning medium-sized SUV is 35.8-468000 yuan; the ES8 price of medium-sized positioning SUV is 46.8-476000 yuan; and the EC6 price of positioning medium-sized SUV is 36.8-468000 yuan. In terms of sales volume, a total of 91429 vehicles were delivered in 2021, of which the cumulative sales of ES6, EC6 and ES8 in 2021 were 41474, 29905 and 20050 respectively.

The latest data show that a total of 15783 cars were delivered from January to February this year, lagging behind ideal cars and Xiaopeng cars.
